Hello All

Just had an text from VW Heritage reminding me my Van is booked in tomorrow to see them with loan vehicle, that's all good as I booked it in several weeks ago so happy days ......................

Unfortunately as I read the text further VW Heritage Bristol not where I booked it into VW Heritage in Dorchester!

Oddly enough I text back and a helpful lady called me (I was astonished these texts are looked at!!!), she confirmed my VAN was booked into Bristol not Dorchester.

I live 2 hrs from Bristol and 10 mins from Dorchester and called VW Heritage in Dorchester when making the booking. I've had an extra day in Weymouth before returning to London waiting for the booking but astounded they can get something so simple so wrong!

Technically the issue is with the dealership, not VW themselves. ;)

You might find that even though you phoned the number for Dorchester, you went through to a centralised call centre, and they didn’t make it clear where you were being booked into.

Have had issues trying to contact VW Milton Keynes when I had a damaged tyre on my Passat, ended up with a centralised call centre who refused to acknowledge the tyre cover i’d bought through them, and insisted they couldn’t see me for weeks as they were fully booked.

When I next spoke to someone related to the dealership itself they were shocked because if i’d spoken to them they’d have sorted it no problem. Issue was i’d been put through to central call handling for VW Lancaster despite having called MK number!
