Wanting to fit a Snorkel

Hey Tourershine.
A bad ass 4x4 tourer is the plan only problem is I’m finding it really hard to get accessories from Germany over here to Australia. I’ve tried Seikel and Terranger with no reply from Seikel and Terranger take months for a single email reply.

Don’t think the snorkel will be a goer as the right hand t6 has aircon pipes where the Seikel installation manual specifys where it enters the engine bay.

So far I have a 50mm spring lift, Goodbridge a/t tyres, rhino platform roof rack, arb front light bar, arb gearbox, transfer case and diff breathers. Arb canopy, Camperx rear door base slider, 60L arb fridge, spare battery under the drivers seat, arb compressor under the passenger seat.

It’s done me pretty good so far letting me go to double island point, the fresh water track, rainbow beach, Fraser Island with guaranteed positive comment from people saying how good it looks and they can’t believe it’s a four wheel drive.
Hey mate. I sourced a snorkel
For my T6 euro 5 bi turbo direct from Bravo in Spain. No issues. Easy to get. Cost me $535 delivered to Sydney. I got it installed by trakka australia and it fit like a glove no issues at all. Also got trakka to supply and fit seikel diff Breathers. Top service. There is so much stuff in Spain and Germany we can source. As long as you are happy to pay freight and wait a little you can have anything you want. We have started a YouTube channel and Insta page called 4Motion adventures. Passing on info as we learn more. Loving this forum. Great source of info. Cheers. Alex.

Hey all, bit late to the party, but has anyone got any top- tips for fitting the bravo snorkel?

I've looked at the instructions and a couple of you-tube vidoes, but i'm wondering if anyone has fitted one themselves and afterwards gone "i wish i knew that before i started!!" :)

Got no problems hoel sawing the wing etc, just wondering about sealing and corrosion proofing that hole before the snorkel is fitted?

Also the routing into the airbox looks tight?

Any advice welcomed

I fitted one just over a year ago.
I don't know about your particular airbox, but mine had a bigger intake pipe than the snorkel was intended for, so I needed to make my own adaptor, which I made from a 90mm flexible plumbing coupler.
I also needed to twist the U section that attaches to the firewall back just a bit further (fill with sand and heat) to give clearance. Don't trust the template on the inner section either.
Also when you cut the inner guard, you may need to relocate the temperature sensor if you have one.
As for sealing and corrosion prevention, I used "Rust Guard" epoxy enamel.

About as attractive as a third nipple.

It ended up quite a neat job. And has proven it's worth crossing rivers.
I can see your point cost me £2 to cross the Tamar today, if only.
Each to there own but a bit ironic on a vehicle that leaks through the side windows.
Edit; your Devonport is way nicer than ours!

I put my snorkel on because I was dismayed at how low the original intake was (down near the bumper).
I can drive through water up to to the front grille with the snorkel and the diff breathers.
Side point: my LHS sliding door leaks.
I did better than my friend's Prado, I checked my diff oil after crossing North Esk (the Tasmanian one not the UK one) with no problems. He has bearing repairs.
