Wash & Wax Time . . . . . . But Which One And How?

@starstruck. On the [very] rare occasions that I wash my van, I'm with you in using a stepladder to get to the roof and centre of the windscreen. As I say, I don't do it often so the least that I can do is a half decent job when I do get around to it. I say only half decent as my regime is a quick blow with the pressure washer, a wash over with a cheap Halfords wash and wax (i've been using the same 5L bottle for a couple of years at least) and a rinse off with the pressure washer followed by a quick chamois / microfibre towel and a sealant type polish (currently Turtlewax ceramic stuff). It works for me and looks shiny enough but it's hardly to the concourse standard that a lot on here aim for (every week in some cases!).
Excuse me, but that sounds positively “detailed” when I do the van!!! Let’s face it, you got the crud off and gave it a wash n buff! Good enough for me! (Yep, I use a ladder too!!!)

@starstruck lol But Where's the rest of your Jack and wheel Spanner lol
I know right, haha, that was the only thing sat in the back of the van, it took me ages to find the actual jack. I only found it when i went around a corner and heard this almighty clank and thought eh up there's a banging noise coming from under the passenger seat, oh no I seriously thought I had got myself a crap van. but i pulled the seat back and yep there it was in all its glory. and a lovely little space to stash more rubbish lol. its all in a bag wrapped in wadding in one of my cupboards now Mud but realised when i was reading something on here that i cant remember if i saw a wheel under the back end or not and if not, why am i carrying a jack and not one of those ridiculous cans of tyre foam thingy stuff or whatever it is:rolleyes:

Even if you did see a spare under the back end a few days ago, it might not still be there! They are very easy to steal unless you invest in a security bolt.
I know from experience
(as a victim, not a thief that is)

@starstruck i keep my Jack under the passenger seat ...... ?.... lol... but its gotta go under me bed at some stage as i need more storage

@Mud Digger I leave it empty as its really handy for a couple of bags of shopping haha but I will be using it as my mini garage to store my tyre gauge and pump and my antifreeze plunger checker that my dad bought me hahaha. I'm new st all this I'm sure I will have plenty of aha moments and probably haha moments hahahaha

That’s the one! If I recall, we ripped the Mickey out of you for chucking the bucket of water over the van at the end?!!
I was thinking your technique has changed a little since then

You were using that sonics rinse seal stuff there though. I started using that following your advice and found it really good. Do you still use that or something else as I’ve run out now and can’t order it anymore? For me a quick wash then spray down with that worked really well, minimum effort, maximum effect!

I would also like to know what technique use to. I cleaned Sid Sunday and now it rained today and there are all dirty rain drop Mark's all over it. I would like to know what the easiest top seal would be please. Something I can spray on and rinse off. My backs killing me now haha
