I think that it is technically a T28? I am not 100% sure, because everyone seems to refer to Transporters as falling into the T3, 4, 5 6 categories, but when I bought it, it was listed as a T28 and plenty come up on google under T28. I assumed that panel vans had a slightly different classification? I would be interested to know the difference if anyone can explain it? I guess though as it is a 64 plate then it is a T5.

Think I have answered my own question! It appears that T28, T30 and T32 are the different payloads of the T5 vans?
That is correct. It is the max payloads of the T5's and T6's. So mine is a T6 T32, therefore 3.2 tonne payload.
The T28/30/32 also refers to T6's and T5's alike. being gross weights 2800kg/3000kg/3200/kg.

Hopefully get to pick up my new/used van on Wednesday its a T6 Highline T28 panel van in Indium Grey..
Wanted a Transporter for years but couldn't justify the cost for van - but luckily I've worked up from an old Astra van to a 66plate Transporter. Would of loved a Kombi but don't think the space would of suited as I'm an office based spark (but on the tools of a weekend) so hopefully the van will get light use on the tool front but planning on racking it out in the back.
Want to drop it and stick some Inovit Revolve (20's) on it - tried to get a few insurance quotes with Mods but no-one seems to be playing ball..
Really can't wait....38 years old and I can't sleep at night for the excitement

Try brentacre for insurance lots of people on here use them and they're quite mod friendly

Just got my 2017 T30 swb highline 150. Idium grey... panel.. have been down to customvanz and got myself some 20" gts wheels and eibach springs 50mm.. came home on saturday and spent rest of the wkend fitting them plus some side tubes.... next job is sound proofing and then I'm thinking remap more for mpg tho, i hear the remap to 204 inproves the mpg....

Hi I've just moved across from 8 years of Caddy ownership to my first T6
It's a 204DSG Kombi and so far I love it,
Sunroof, twin ekectric sliders, comfort dash, Discovery media plus loads more
Already dropped it 40mm and fitted H&R roll bars, made a huge difference to the drive no body roll now,
Fitted Sportlines as wanted good looks and nice handling.

Well after 3 years of ploughing money into my old T4 trying to make it into a reliable Camper I've given up and bought myself a 16 plate 102 Trendline T6 Camper King Conversion.......so far I've loving it!
