So i've been reading the forum for about 2/3 months now and thought i best stick my head above the parapet
My interest in T6 was sparked when my mother bought a SWB 140 Highline and i thought i better do some homework as im an engineer and like to tinker with things...
Anyway my path to T6 was followed about 6 weeks later when sadly my trusty old 1.9td SWB T4 met an untimely demise in the back of a 40ft Arctic
My initial search actually started for a T5 as i thought if im going to upgrade i may as well go for it, however as budgets rose i found myself looking at late 5.1's that i was going to end up paying a lot of money for to have to rip it out to make it mine, however i thought i found one keenly priced, LWB (a must) at my local VW dealer, cue one trip and it had sold
However they had a LWB T6 over budget, but an attractive proposition, initially after mulling it over i was going to walk away an i'd probably still be looking, however a chat with the sales manager, initially to take some details about my interest in a 5.1 if it came in, we got chatting about the T6 they had......
Very long story short the T6 was mine for not a huge amount more than the T5.1 so now i am the proud (and still pinching myself) owner of a 65 plate T6 LWB, Barn Door 102 Trendline
Work so far has been to insulate the roof and have side windows fitted, however im allowing the bank balance to recover a bit before i start the convertion proper a si have a lot of ideas and not a definite plan
