Welcome new members

Hi AA and welcome, I must admit it is a mind field on the wheels, and its all down to looks and your ride comfort, the bigger the wheel the harder the ride, but the better some say the looks, your choice, I have gone for B14 lower to 70mm and used 18" wheels, they were black but added some colour, which I can peel off any time:)IMG_7854.jpg

Beautiful! Really like the look.
If only I hadn’t gone ahead with the VW30mm springs, but whatever, money spent! Now I’m a little stuck. I imagine the only way to go is 20”, if I want to fill the wheel arch a little better.

Thanks Ady, if you have dropped 30mm then look at @Tourershine set up it looks sweet.
I have been working on your Island Anglesey, for the last 2 weeks at Dulas for the owner of JW Lees Brewery, love Anglesey, its like the land that time forgot!

As @Bryan1971 said, 30mm drop with 19's are a nice compromise, but my 30mm springs are coming off soon and being replaced with B14s.

I must say your van is the lowest van I've ever seen with -30mm springs.

I often think that when I see others with the same setup, but I think the 19s help, plus that 45 profile tyre which I personally hate, or maybe i've just broken the springs with my fat ass.

Hi Gents,
Thanks for the Warm welcome. DaveBos, I will upload a picture tomorrow, I’ve got the slightly lowered van with the wheels that look like minilites.
Tourershine, again a great look, never thought I could achieve that look with 19’s. I really like the black wheels but worried they might look a little rough if I ever hit a kerb. What wheels are they?

Will keep an eye out for you @Ady Anglesey .

If you put an @ in front of a members name in a post, they will get a notification to say they have been mentioned in a post.

Hello! Just traded in our caddy maxi life ( well loved) for a kombi, very happy with its so far!

It was the dealer's demonstrator, 200hp model, DSG, 4motion, with a few extra bits (heater, side bars, roof rails, a few interior bits) and a tow bar which the dealer is going to fit. Looking forward to putting in some sound deadening though!

It had a bulkhead in, but got the dealer to remove it so I could put the bikes right in without taking them apart.

Thanks for the heads up @DaveBos. Still learning!

Added the Van with the minilites, (love it really). To be honest getting out of a L200, it drives like a limo.

Apart from being still unable to decide the wheel set up, I would like to upgrade the interior to leather. Does anyone have any positive feedback from going through this process?

Sorry mate, only just seen that, but looks like you've been schooled by @DaveBos

They are Savini BM13 originally in their diamond cut range, but I changed them to Gloss Black, which I wouldn't advise unless you have nothing else in your life other than cleaning wheels.
Savini do a really nice wheel range, but so do loads of other companies for possibly a lot less money.
You will find all this out and be a wheel specialist by the time you finish reading this place.
I'm not sure what Minilites you had as a youth, but they didn't look like those in my old school days.
