Yes poor camera quality, on a bigger HD screen it high lights it
Looks like you got both guide lines showing, switch it off
Alpine gives the best integration, uses the Oe mic, we can retain the sos, vehicle settings on the touch screen, and both usb socketsThis been reading this thread for a while now, and it’s finally time to take the plunge. My new to me 6.1 arrives next week and an audio upgrade is first on the list.
Is the Kenwood and the Alpine still the best options on the market?
Are there rumours of anything new coming to the market, or updates?
Keen to not buy old generation stuff in 3 months time.
Thank you.
Thanks. Thats a nice summary.Alpine gives the best integration, uses the Oe mic, we can retain the sos, vehicle settings on the touch screen, and both usb sockets
the Kenwood moves the vehicle settings away from the touch screen on to the steering wheel and is graphically poor,
No news on any new products , as if it will happen it will be spring, but manufactures no longer change every year, plus there isn’t anything new that can possibly be added to a unit they all have CarPlay, android etc
Will doThanks. Thats a nice summary.
Would you be able to drop me details of the updgrade cost if I get the van to you please.
Would also be interested in the cost of a signature package updgrade as well.
Sound is subjective, but you find most will say Alpine for a good source, they just have that edge, sound cleaner, sharper and more powerful from the inbuilt ampI am a lover of music and sound. regardless of brand, model, connections and screen. which is the most audiophile model? And the best speaker kit? Thanks a lot for the suggestions
Can only supply at the moment as a fresh install/supply , not available on its own , hopefully this will change@Absolut5 is the usb-c retention kit out?
Good evening, I have a 2018 t6 and a few months ago I started having problems with the touch screen, they asked me for more than €1800 to replace it. I'd like to replace it with a larger one and with wireless carplay.
As equipment to recover I only have the rear camera, no sensors.
Do you have any ideas?
Thanks!
Grazie, come va in termini di vibrazioni?View attachment 257816
Alpine Halo 905 è un'unità molto popolare dotata di CarPlay wireless, ma non è troppo grande
Not a issue with vibrations , we adjust them quite low when installing them so it eliminates it and it doesn’t look like it’s chucked on the dashThank you, how is it going in terms of vibrations?
I have the 904 in a Transit and at medium speeds it starts to vibrate a lot. Possibly always with carplay wireless, maybe a 9-inch to integrate into the dashboard isn't there?
I am ready to take the plunge and get a Halo 9 installed in my T6.1, along with the Alpine front speakers and (probably) the under seat sub and amplifier. The quote I have includes "Aftermarket stereo fitting kit and installation".
I have already picked up from this forum that I will need to ensure that the fitter retains the original USBc ports functionality.
Is there anything else that I should be specifying? Like would additional sound dampening in the door panels normally be included in an installation and, if not, what exactly should I be asking for?
@Absolut5 I am based in Belfast so unfortunately cannot avail of your services.
That’s very helpful and much appreciated.I suggest you get a detailed quote with all parts listed, it’s what we do in every quotation..
If you get one fire it over to us and il check through to make sure all the parts are correct.
You should always have sound deadening added to the doors, they resonate even with stock speakers. Minimum should be added to the door cards, inner door skins and behind each speaker.
You may find the alpine sub/amp is not available, plus we don’t normally install them , but prefer Gladen Appearance speakers, with a different sub/amp combo
