Been working on getting leisure batteries in the seat base of the passenger double and thought I’d add my setup to this thread.
I’ve got 2 x 90ah xtreme batteries wired in parrelel for 180ah total.
The middle seat has a battery on its side (AGM) and my Renogy 50amp B2B MPPT charger mounted on the inside of the front of the base. The second battery is mounted under the seat nearest door the normal way up.
Laying the 1st battery on its side means I have clearance for a shelf over, where I’ve got the main midi fuses mounted, a 100 amp isolator (wanted to be able to isolate the alternator supply so I can run off just solar if possible), BT signal box connected to the charger, leisure battery load fuse box and some USB charge sockets.
Solar connection cable is coiled under the seat and connects to a 120 watt folding panel that can go outside or on the dash.
Only change I had to make was remove the centre fuse holder. I removed the wiring for the two rear 12v sockets and wired these to the leisure fuse box. Then I remounted the slide out fuse holder onto the other side of the seat’s centre bar and wired in my tow bar electrics fuse. The tow bar 12v power is taken off the starter battery side of the isolator switch.
There’s also a little room above and around the battery on the door side for some storage....maybe a second carpeted shelf for valuables?
