So far, so good. Floor up tomorrow, so we’ll see what’s under there...Looking pretty tidy under there
I would - perhaps pressed with the round end of a ball pein hammer (as opposed to hammered!). I’d put a dob of paint on too.So far, so good. Floor up tomorrow, so we’ll see what’s under there...
General question to the hive mind - should I be treating the screw holes that are left behind before carpeting? Do they need “flattening” where they’ve slightly lifted at the edges?
Thanks I’ll try and have a go at that.I would - perhaps pressed with the round end of a ball pein hammer (as opposed to hammered!). I’d put a dob of paint on too.
Have you read about covering the other holes in the panel work? Depending on carpet colour air flow can pull dust through discolouring the carpet. I used foil tape.
Just goes to show how well ply lining protects a van. Looks like it just left the factory under there. Thanks I’ll try and have a go at that.
Not yet on the holes. Time for another evening of reading...
This looks a great addition.Did this a couple of weeks ago but just got round to posting about it.
Added a bit of drag chain to the Ovano unit to protect the wiring for the fridge. Works a treat.

Try eBay for energy chainThat’s fab, I’m planning to do the same on my Ovano too.
Can you share some details of the cable guide? It looks like it sits really nicely on the runner.
This is the drag chain I used. I found I needed about 1.5M so joined the two pieces into a single length. I ran it right from the back of the runner (front of van) to give max protection on the cable. Fixed to the runner and the drawer with 3M VHB tape. Just be sure not to stick it down too far forwards to allow for it to coil up when the drawer is inserted. That’s fab, I’m planning to do the same on my Ovano too.

I have a leisure battery with a dedicated feed from the fuse panel for the fridge so fed the cable through before putting the connectors on the end. If you’re using a pre-made cable (for example to plug into a 12v socket), I’d recommend cutting it close to the fridge end before feeding it through and then putting some Andersen connectors on both sides to plug it back together.

Best thing I’ve bought for the van. As well as being a bed for camping, it just makes the load space so much more usable. I thought long and hard before i parted with the cash ‘cos they’re not cheap but I’m glad I did.Are you happy with the Ovano? I’m planning on getting one too
