What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Today I spent a couple of hours clearing up broken glass. Suspect impact damage from road debris rather than anything malicious.

Does anybody know a place who can do quick repairs in central Scotland?

Cheers.

what you doing with cable lom whats was under seat?

Hi, already had the swivel, but I added the floor to the seat. The wiring was moved by the converter. From looking at the Kiravans site, it is tucked under the flooring by the handbrake.

Most auto glass style places will be able to sort you out.
Toughened glass gets in to every nook and cranny when it brakes doesn’t it!

Not today but the other day when I was working on putting the auto fold mirror relay in, I nipped to the chippy for some health food without putting the door cards back on. Now my doors are dynamatted on both skins, but my god was it noisy! It sounded as if both windows were open it was so loud. I have some strategically placed pieces of dynamat on the back of the door cards to stop vibration and then a layer of closed cell foam but I never appreciated till then just how much they contribute to reducing road noise. With them back on the difference was dramatic.

Just something I hadn’t realised before and made me reevaluate what to concentrate on for noise reduction.

Not a @Dellmassive write up....but here goes....

I cleaned them.....primed them ....painted them... then Matt clearcoat ....all using plastkote rattle cans...about 3 or 4 coats of each with at least 24hrs between each coat

its taken me about 2 months to get finished....
Perfection should never be rushed ;)

New detachable tow bar fitted by Salop Towing. Very pleased with the results.

Not used it yet but will help against bumping car parkers.

Ceramic coated the wheels
Ceramic coated the callipers
Ceramic coated front and back windscreen

Have you sprayed the discs as well? Not sure I have seen that before, I think I would be concerned about brake pad contamination.
Also never heard of anyone ceramic coating a windscreen?? Where did you get that recommendation from :geek: are you looking at less road traffic build up on the screen?

Discs scrub off after a few miles, I’ve done it before, no dramas.

Gtechniq sell windscreen coating. Means you can drive along at 70mph without your wipers on, it’s that good!
