Got more interior sorted, very diy job done it all myself bar building the bed, not the most clean as a lot was first time I'd attempted but I know what do next time to make it better.

Stuff, lots and lots of stuff. And yet I still feel like I've got a never ending list of things that still need doing. Why is it taking so long? WHY???? :cry:

@J8usx The connector housings came from VW. 2 female housings to connect to the two roof light connectors and 4 male (the same as the 2 already in the roof) to connect to the 4 roof lights.

I already had enough crimp terminals left over from a previous job to finish the looms.

I don't suppose you have part numbers for these connectors please?

@Westy78 where did you take the power from for those lights in the tailgate? Want to do that myself with a pair of lights on a switch in the door rather than the touch lights as in the roof.

I have a fuse box under the drivers seat that is currently connected to the starter battery but will serve a leisure battery soon. Ran the cable from that to a switch on the side panel (under vw logo) and then up to the tailgate. Used speaker cable as recommended by @travelvolts

I have the forum touch led lights but wanted a separate switch as well.

I have somewhere, I'll dig them out. :thumbsup:

Edit:

@Skyliner33 here we are;

1T0 972 703 - 3 way connector housing male (to fit oem rear roof lights)

535 972 713 - 3 way connector housing female (to fit above housing - allows easy connection to oem roof light loom)

Installed new, much more flexible, silicone cables from the new solar controller up to the connectors from the solar panel, which has allowed me to hide them much better. Then ground channels in the aluminium strip that the canvas fits into, between it and the roof, and lined them with grommets cut in half to form a U shape. It only needs to protect the cable from the metal, the top will be against the fibreglass roof and needs to be flush with the top of the channel so that it screwed back tight and with no gap. Then put the frame piece back on and now my solar cables will not be going through the canvas when it comes back from being repaired. Saw 155W as soon as it was plugged back in which is a new record for me straight away, but had to put it back in the garage as I need to work this afternoon.

Hopefully the C spanners will arrive today or tomorrow then I can get on with my B14 adjustments Sunday

thanks - looks ideal and a great price. :thumbsup:
They are, I did abit of tinkering to make it nicer like a peice of fabric to help move it from bed to seat and some material to make it less rattley om the frame but as a base unit already powdercoated I've no complaints
