What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Is that a receiver towing hitch on your truck? Regulations concerning camping vehicles have they become tougher in NZ recently?

I do hope that you will share with us imagery from your trip. NZ seem such a fantastic place!
Yep - Towing receiver hitch - very common over here.
Regarding the Self containment requirements, with the number of people freedom camping and leaving behind a mess (sh*tting, rubbish etc.) the local councils are wanting better control, so the Government has come up with new self containment regulations. However, the new rules are a bit of a farce, and the local councils are also grappling with how to impose them etc. so its a bit of a moving target at the moment. The original requirement was for everyone to meet the new rules by June 2025, but this has now been pushed out to June 2026, but that change came after I had already pretty much done all the things required for the new "green sticker".

I will get some photos of our trip - Central Otago in Autumn is AMAZING !

It's not dark yet, I'll let you know!

I try and line up the van at a certain point, to maximise the space for the window cleaners, while being far enough from the outer wall not to bash it with the passenger door.

I have painted light-coloured guidelines on the back wall, but they are still difficult to see in the dark.
@Kind of Blue

Did the second reversing light when I got back from Buxton.

Big difference to the standard bulbs.

If anyone is thinking they need a reversing light bar, try swapping these first.

Do you know if these bulbs can be used for the front fog lights, @CAB? I've recently being van-shamed by a fellow forum member :oops: (you know who you are!! :rofl:) for having "yellow" front fogs that don't match my white LED headlights.

I presume so? Will be bloody bright!

No can bus errors with these.

Washed the van today and after spending ages last time cleaning polishing and waxing it was really quick and easy and looked great. Shows all the hard work was worth it!

Shocking state of affairs if you ask me.
You can definitely use these without any warning lights and they are a straight swap with no extra wiring.
