What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Removed the three screws on the front cover of the Fiamma awning. They are legendary for seizing. Two were okay, but the top left resisted strongly. Cleaned the threads and coated them in aluminum anti-sieze before putting them back in. Pre-emptive maintenance that could be worth it for all Fiamma owners.

Did this myself, heard the stories re: seizing

Cleaned the bejesus out of it, waxed it, opened the pop top and cleaned and waxednthe normally hidden parts, wiped the pop top struts with an oily rag, reproofed the pop top.

It's going in Tuesday to have Eibach rear levelling springs fitted so chucked the box in the back in readiness.

Changed my knackered THQ Number Plate LED’s after about 6 months :

Also fitted new plates & plate holder on the rear:

I’ve got a Van X Front Spoiler which has a moulded recess for the front plate & I wasn’t able to make the plate holder fit in a way that I was happy with. So if anyone wants the other one, feel free to drop me a DM.

**Edit: Plate Holder has now gone**

I've been working on a bike bar for my bespoke kombi bed system. A little more work to do but almost there.

Then, not me, but the Mother in Law, has been creating clothes storage pods for the rear, including a mesh pocket for a clock. These will slot in a length of awning rail attached to the reverse of a strip of Hexa ply.

Will do the same to drivers door when I get a minute but pleased with the result
Hi Matt,

Where the power is coming from? Did you take it from any existing into the door point?
TIA

It is all coming from in the door. Main white wire in the door module for positive. Door Earth point. And switched negative from door catch. You'll need a multimeter to determine the switched negative but quite easy.

I had the same with THQ number plate LEDs and had to replace.

Had a mobile dent repair man around today to fix a scrape to side door after an embarrassing encounter with my security post:eek:

Did a lovely job but he was not happy with the colour match. After much checking of log books etc we discovered he was one letter out on the registration number.

He was more embarrassed than I was for causing the scrape in the first place. Back on Tuesday of next week with the right colour
