What Inverter do you have?

You won't do that from a single leisure battery!

Ok, that's disappointing to hear.

The general consensus was that the thermoblocks in a Nespresso m/c have a power rating of between 1100 to 1300w.

I'm trying to find a suitable solution - what is going to do the job then?

1300 watts at 12 volts equates to nearly 120 amps when you factor in inverter efficiency, probably even more with a budget brand inverter. This is too much for a simple leisure battery to cope with for the time scale of making a brew. Consider fitting at least 2 x Spiral Cell GEL batteries at a cost of nearly £500 or use a generator. If it was me, I would use a cafetiere on a gas hob. Much cheaper and a lot more efficient.

+1 for the aero press. Great coffee and easy to clean.

I've got a "Cotek 1500W 12V Pure Sinewave Inverter"

but as Travelvolts says, for that coffee machine your be drawing 100A+ from your LB and will run it flat in a few mins. Not forgetting the gauge cables reqd etc.

your be better off with a large LB bank of batteries or Genny or 240 hook up ......
