What is you favourite thing about your T6?

Is that what the MFD is telling you or are you measuring via brimming the tank each time? If its the MFD, chances are, based on the experience of others, its reporting somewhat more than you are actually getting. Either way, it looks like you are getting very good MPG. Last time we went to Bala (circa 130 miles each way, 150 DSG, fully loaded with a boat trailer and bikes on the back) my MFD reported 51 mpg but in reality I seem to be getting anything between about 38 and 45 (hard to get accurate figures as most tanks have an element of Eberspacher heating to take off) - still more then happy with that!!
That’s a good point actually. For the last 8-9 fuel stops, I’ve reset my trip. My average is 400miles on 60ltrs so really, my overall average ends up being closer to 30mpg...if I’ve worked that out correct?!?!?

Edit: I pretty much tow all day every day too

Am I the only one who has absolutely no idea of their consumption?

I even turned it off as an option on the scrolling data on the mfd.

I'll drive it the same regardless and I'm not going to sell it if it uses too much so I'm at a loss what I'd do with the information

Just depends if you’re conscious of how much you're burning. Keeping an eye on consumption could save a few quid here and there but if it doesn’t bother you...then it doesn’t bother you.

Anyways, still an ace van. I love it regardless. And like @Chrisfraser05 ... I wouldn’t get rid of it if it was a thirsty beast.

Not sure I can put my finger on exactly what is special about a T6, I think every time we jump in it, it could be the start of an adventure; who knows. Of all the cars we've had, we have sold them years later, pretty much as we bought them
But the T6, just needs to be fiddled with a bit; a little personalisation; improve a masterpiece a little; a few tweaks here and there; a bit of meddling; a fiddle with its bits.
That's it, my favourite thing about our T6 "It's Fiddle-able":)

I like the fact I feel like I can ram people off the road, then I realise its plastered in my company logo so I actually cant. Nothing like smiling through gritted teeth at idiot drivers.
Time for the boss to apply a “How’s my driving” number below the logos lol

Two things
I like the fact that because my converted campervan is black, the windows just blend in and that makes it a bit of a covert camper.

The wheels and side rails are a little blingy but IMHO just enough to peak people’s curiosity as you can see them thinking ‘that’s not a builders van’.

And

I can take my bikes around with me and then pop the trailer inside when I need to.

BTW
Everyone is entitled to their opinion and likewise everyone who expresses an opinion is entitled to be criticised or praised for having that opinion.

Peace n love

"Scrolling data"......jeez, that's something else I've missed! I really must start reading instruction books! How do you set it to scroll?

I fill up at the station on a Sunday night, I go to Chester and back every day that’s min 750 miles I occasionally put a few quid in for any mileage on the week end, I think you’ll find I get far more than 40 - 45 mpg don’t you, I know the on board comp may have a little discrepancy, but it’s not much

Ha ha.....little discrepancy! Massive discrepancy more like!!

It’s not you know, I have nothing to gain by lying , I but if you don’t believe it that’s ok, I know exactly what I get in mpg, and I know exactly what I use in fuel.
It is you know! Like I said.......based on PERSONAL experience.....and I too know how much diesel I'm using. If you think 8mpg discrepancy is accurate or acceptable, fine. I happen to think it's inaccurate.....if yours is accurate, great.....but mine isn't! Not suggesting for a minute you're lying....neither am I.

I think the T6 is, for me anyway, one of those rare vehicles that look good from the front, side and rear. I love the crease line and one if my fave bits is how neatly the sliding door track has been done, almost invisible, most other vans have a big ugly metal track stuck to the side. Its that kind of attention to detail i love about the T6

@Stephen Cowdell - Have a look at this thread to see why people are seeing your fuel economy as exceptional and asking questions to clarify:- fuel economy

There is not much (if anything?) in there regarding the 102 variant so if you are genuinely getting around 55mpg then good for you - looks like you got a good 'un!!

Mate i 100% agree with everything you just said!

Had just returned from the car wash last week and was giving it a polish whilst on the drive.
A passer-by stopped and made lots of admiring noises etc, so I showed him around.
Then another person joined us and had a gander.
Both equally impressed and one went away saying he was going to trade his BMW in and buy one!!

Must admit.... it did look nice and shiny in the sunshine:think smile bounce:

What’s the best thing about owning your van???

We are due pick up our T6 from VW Chelmsford this week.
The missus is looking forward to the practicality (and having the biggest car you can)
I am looking forward to towing our caravan with the dsg 204.

We used to tow with Audi A6 allroad v6 3.0 and miss the torque.

I’ve ran two T5s for work currently run a 2012 manual T5 4mo, so also looking forward to seening how different the T6 will be to this.
