Given how much pigs piss mine drinks, naming it Babe seems quite appropriate.
Always thought if I'd had a little girl, I'd like to call her Beth. Never had a girl. So tried out Beth the Bus on Mrs Donkey. The raised eyebrow response told me that conversation was to be terminated.
Endeavour
it's an "exploratory ship"
also largest thing I ever drove (LWB)
- not named after inspector Morse first name (weird first name!?!) nor the Ford car
- named after the ship that discover Australia
- named after the most modern/successful space shuttle (didn't fail, went further and did the most impressive things: Hubble rescue for example)
I liked the definitions in wikitionary:
- A sincere attempt; a determined or assiduous effort towards a specific goal.
- Enterprise; assiduous or persistent activity.
- partially translating Middle French(se mettre) en devoir (de faire) (“(to make it) one's duty (to do), to endeavour (to do)”) (from Old Frenchdevoir, deveir (“duty”)).
