Three of these fit between the wheel arches at the back. Clips join them together. They fold away as shown in the pic. Carpeted versions appear too. Look out for them at Aldi's from time to time.

You may jest, but there is a large council estate near me and it’s littered with Asda trolleys.
They wheel the shopping home and then just leave the trolley on the street.
My cousin volunteers for the Canal and Rivers Trust - he and his colleagues pulled 13 trollies out of the canal below the Soar Valley Way bridge in Leicester - there is an Asda and Sainsburys about a mile away
