Who is happy or unhappy with the standard H4 headlights?

Hmm - just spoken to a mate with a 150 Kombi (his business partner has an identical van) and asked if he's happy with his H4s and he said they're fine.

@Polzeylad , this is what I mean, if you say put your VIN against this petition, then we see who really thinks they have a problem But the poll as it stands is a good test of waters. Please bear in mind, I have no idea how poor they are, as I haven't go mine yet, and I do not mean any offence in my remarks

I had one of my customers in today with his new T6. When i mentioned lights, he said funny you say that i have booked it in to be looked at as there not working properly! As you can imagine we had a chat.

There are an awful lot of people who hardly drive at night, and then only on lit roads. To them their headlamps may seem acceptable as they won't notice how they are performing. But.....drive on an unlit road, and you'll soon see just how bad they are.

Well, tonight I got a second opportunity to enjoy all of the pleasure the H4 lights can provide.... once again I was left unimpressed. Like others suggested, I tried running on full / hi beam with the lights adjusted low and can you believe it, not one person flashed me. I must of driven Passed 50-70 cars and not one flashed me. Not surprised really, even full beam is poor... better than lows for sure but still not great!

Took another photo today. I am woundering if it's a batch of bad bulbs as this is with the Philips white vision and fogs on . Taken with iPhone at head height would be good to see more with standard bulbs.

@ZipcodeUK, if you want we could meet up on a dark straight bit of road between Middleton and Brackley and do some side by side comparisons of your H4's next to my LED's. Not trying to take the piss, but it might be very interesting the comparison between what is supposed to be the best versus the worst?

It may be useful as a linked video clip (from the dash cam etc) on the forum so prospective buyer's speccing their vans can make an informed choice? Sometimes, to see things with your own eyes helps.

You could try driving a 66 beetle at night lol! Now that's like candles! I must admit going from my GTi with full LEDs to the T6 did have me questioning if they are on too! So with the H7s have we a vid of those?
