Windbreak - recommendations for tensioning bars and/or support stays?

The Outdoor Revolution Pronto is great and not bad value if you shop around. Takes about 30 secs to erect and a minute to pop a few pegs in (on the outside so doesn’t get in the way of seating). Only used ours a couple of times but really impressed and is dead solid.

I was looking at those as an addition to the OR 6 summer shelter we recently got.

Not sure how they would fair in bad weather, but for summer months they looked interesting...

And come in two sizes from what I saw?.

It will of course have its limit but it would have to be pretty extreme wind if it’s positioned and pegged out properly. Or the wind has changed direction by 180deg and you’ve done nothing about it. It’s a very solid, freestanding structure that’s then pegged down as needed with pegs along the bottom, mid point and top. Or just a couple of pegs in light wind. I’m confident it would have easily withstood the storm that destroyed my previous one and wreaked havoc at Silverstone this year.

we (me & the lads) was at the Silverstone Festival this year (camping in Woodlands). . and had some epic mad weather.

our standard wooden poled windbreaks didnt stand a chance. . . .

:D They got hit twice! Same at the F1 as well. Massive storm at 3am that destroyed many tents, awnings, gazebos and windbreaks. A roof tent near us was wrapped over the side of the car - would have been exciting for anyone in it!
