Been to twitchen house many times aswell as woolacombe sands (which we will never go back to) but not tried Easewell farm .
I know a few of you have been there before and would like to know which site you lot prefer .
Thanks in advance .

Whats the access like to the site ?
We're looking to go in our motorhome which is 2.75m wide so a little twitchy about some of the roads in .

Thanks Jason , Cornwall is a special place for me as its where my grandparents lived and holidayed there most years since i was born .
Still gives me that warm fuzzy feeling inside :inlove: (still can't surf though)

My roots are all in Devon and it’s a privilege to live here.. you’ll have to move!!

The only access issues I recall were caused by flooded local roads, but this was about 15 years ago and we were only driving a car.

Throughout our stay, the weather was atrocious. Despite this, we really enjoyed the site and promised ourselves we'd return one day when the weather was more clement (still haven't managed that yet, but it's on our list). I recall the shower and toilet facilities were the best we've encountered, before or since.

Yeah i remember twitchen house facilities not being that great last time we went , hence the question.

Just jumping in and sharing this site at Polzeath, we live in Devon and Polzeath is just over an hour from us, it’s our go to surf spot.. great site, right on the beach, full of VDubs too :)
Which site are you recommending here - Tristram or Southwinds?

Some of the prices at Tristram are absolutely bonkers - high season in "The Terraces", for example, is over £85 per night!!!

Yep Tristram is expensive, but more reasonable in the budget section and obviously you pay for what you get..

access to warcombe farm is reasonable for north Devon google map it on street view its got a white line down the middle of the road if that helps :)
There are plenty of roads in north Devon where the middle is marked by a grass line and your wing mirrors touch both hedges!

I've never stayed at Twitchen but I have been to Easewell Farm a lot and it's certainly good enough. TBH at that price in North Devon, even a pitch on mud next door to a sewerage outlet would look cheap. If you want to walk into Mortehoe from Twitchen and avoid the narrow road, just cross it to Easewell and then walk down to the lane at the bottom of the site (just up from the entrance to North Morte Farm - another great site if you don't mind sleeping on a slope on a lot of the pitches).
When we were at Easewell last year, they were showing Guardians of The Galaxy 3 in the Twitchen cinema and Mrs AJ and I were the only ones in there which was a real treat of £6 IIRC.

Easewell was available for £88 for 7 nights! ( only 1 left) but never been there so booked what we know and stayed with Twitchen .
We always walk the footpath down direct from twitchen to combesgate and then its either a left or a right depending on where we wanna go .
I know what you mean about walking up the narrow lane (especially with the dog) .
We will try the walk through from easewll toward north morte thanks didnt know you could get through
Maybe a walk to Lee and back around the coast (weather dependent)

A friend of the family has 11 acres near Ivybridge - you can guess where I'll be parking up next summer on my way through to see my Dad in Truro.
