@interbear. I don't know anything about the mechanics of cars in general but 15000 miles ad blue range just seems a bit too far to me. The most my Audi Q5 or T6 has ever shown on the MFD with a freshly filled ad blue tank is 6000.

yes after about 50 miles, can't prove it but I recon it was after a regen which probably lowered the ad-blue level enough for the sensor to read it. I had about 5000 miles of ad-blue in the tank so when I refill it, which will be soon, back to that level it will be interesting to see if it comes...

My range has just dropped from 1600 - 1400 and when i start the ignition the ad blue message automatically shows & stays (till another option is selected ) . It didn’t automatically show when it was reading 1600 . Any reasons why this may be? Cheers

How much was the MFD asking for? Min-Max? If you’ve put less than the minimum in, it won’t register, that’s why there is a min-max amount

Thanks yes not many vans shifting at the moment I’ve had some right belters wanting it for nothing but ain’t in no hurry as it’s not costing me having it sat there so will wait and see

No, he’s about 45 miles away, but he’s thinking it’s a canbus break or short and as I’d been having errors relating to short to ground with various adblue sensors I’m going to be investigating the wiring from the ad blue plug working back up the loom.

Hey @LZM Sorry to hear about the second ad blue cover. Have taken a photo of the invoice from when I purchased the replacement cover from local vw dealer. This was for a swb t30 T6.1. Part numbers are on top left hand side of invoice. Hope you get it sorted soon.

That’s not cheap either, I did ring a few places and it would be cheaper just to get the issue sorted at a main stealer, also an ad blue delete is apparently pretty complicated to achieve and has all sorts of negative knock on affects.

Daft question. Do I presume if my 2016 t6 doesn’t have obvious ad blue cap near diesel fill point, I don’t need to worry about this? Vehicle is a highline with ‘blue motion’ technology. But I understand that doesn’t necessarily mean much specifically from googling?!

Don’t know if it’s the same for a t6.1 but my t6 will throw up errors if the ad blue is over filled. Adblue is corrosive so the level sensor is located outside the tank and cannot “ see” adblue in the filler neck of the tank. When you drive the system thinks the adblue level is not going down so...

Except removing any/all of those things is illegal. Egr and ad blue are just software solutions. Dpf involves physical work in altering the dpf internals. If it gets discovered and fails it’s mot you’ll have to shell out a couple of grand for a new one. I’d leave the dpf alone.
