    Portable Solar panel confusion

...you might want to add a fuse on the positive cable next to the battery connection as it comes unfused. Also, be aware of the limitations of a 100w panel with a PWM controller. The specs say 4.4a max charge rate which you'll only realistically get on a full sunny day at midday. You fridge...

Are dokio taking the piss ?

I’ve tried covering each panel and it’s about the same drop each time so they all seem to be the same and I guess they must all be working !

Solar Panel one large or 2 small

...linearly. Half the sunlight doesn't equate to half the voltage. The wattage of the panels is more important. Simply put, a 200w panel is two 100w panels on the same board. 2 separate 100w panels will give you redundancy if one fails but it's really swings and roundabouts. I've no doubt...

Are dokio taking the piss ?

So the load was just a leisure battery in this instance but I guess my fridge was having a rest .. it’s connected to the load output of the victron and can draw up to 100w when it’s angry

    Renogy Inverter

    Bluefusion or Renogy portable 100w?

I’m about to push the button on a portable plug n play solar kit and wondering which of these people would recommend? I’ve read through a lot of @Dellmassive solar thread and these come up a lot. Any advantages one over the other? I only need one occasionally so just want something that has...

    Bluetti to 12v van socket

...the EB55 will drain dead flat into the LB as it's much lesser capacity than van battery.... so not really achieving what you want. .. You could look at a portable 100w solar panel. That could be used to a: connect to the ctek to charge the van (assuming a ctek DC-DC) And b: charge the...

    Hillside Birchover

It did seems a a bit steep for what was proposed. I did however ask them to fit SCA roof rails so I could retrofit my own choice of panel and MPPT controller at a later date.

Splitting solar power for our new Bluetti AC180 and our leisure battery

...battery. While I appreciate the solar panel EcoFlow charging will likely be a lengthy process, it will be handy to have that option available. As a backup, I have also bought a 100w Renogy suitcase solar panel, which can connect directly to the EcoFlow to provide simultaneous charging.......

What size Solar panel should I buy?

For a 100w panel a victron smart 75/10 will be excellent. If you upgrade later, it has re sale value. Are you going for a 100w panel or something else? Look at battery megastore for victron kits.

    ToddiesT6 - Build Log

If they are the same Renogy 100W as mine, they are 22.5V (open circuit) and 18.9 V optimal operating. The listing title is 12v but I think that’s a bit misleading.

    Which narrow solar panel?

The feed goes through a hole in the roof, with a sealed gland, under the back of the poptop (photo at the link). It’s a Renogy panel, 100w. I picked these panel dimensions as it fits behind the roof rack without being shadowed.

    [Guide] Mobile Solar Panels ? . . . - How I Did It -

If you have 4 x 100w panels @Dellmassive have you thought about splitting them between the Ecoflow and the storage battery? You are going to get some losses in the DC-DC charging between Storage -> Ecoflow and I'm wondering if you've ever measured roughly what that might be? I guess the win of...

Leisure Battery Advice for Off-Grid use

I run my fridge, lights and a few usb chargers from a single 110ah leisure battery and that will last a weekend if the fridge is set low I also added a single 100w solar panel and that allows the fridge to run 24/7 over summer without draining the leisure battery
