I'd heard about the difficulties installing this head unit in T6.1's so decided to drive a couple of hours to Absolut5 who installed my Halo 11. I absolutely love it the screen is lovely and clear and the sound is way better, in the spirit of transparency, I also had their signature audio...

I can report that it is brilliant!
No more plugging in on short trips. CarPlay just works with no further interaction other that having a...
I`ve got a 2019 T6 with standard 3 button head unit (not carplay compatible).
I’ve installed an AUTO-VOX W7PRO Digital Wireless Reversing Camera which is linked to a small screen on my dash. With the screen powered up it interferes with the bluetooth signal to the radio - the sound stops/drops...

A list of part numbers would be useful - does it require any coding and do any extra wires need to be added this is the one thing I miss in my Cali - I like the wirelessCarPlay and also things seem to go a by haywire when I put a cable in
Greetings everyone,
As a newcomer to this forum, I have made the decision to purchase a new T6.1 camper. The company I am buying from acquires new panel vans and converts them into campers. I have opted for additional features such as Springfield alloy wheels, lowered suspension, bike rack...
Android Auto works wired via the USB C ports on the 6.1. Or if you’ve got the upgraded Nav Discover Media it can be connected wirelessly. When you turn on the van, you’ll see the Android Auto, Apple CarPlay and MirrorLink logos at the bottom of the Welcome screen.
I’m on Apple and my husband...
The 9720 is a much better unit than the halo, the HD screen is on another level, speed of the OS - Alpine can lag a little and the menu is dated - Kenwood is intuitive and has wireless Apple CarPlay and android auto
The dmx8019dab is a superb unit with good , screen, wireless Apple CarPlay, Dnx9190dab is the top of the range, hd screen, Garmin, wireless etc etc
and the 9720xds is a tablet design, HD screen with wireless
CarPlay works way better over WiFi, and USB connections are now deprecated by Apple, which means all new CarPlay features will only be supported by Apple on the WiFi interface, not the USB one. This may well be a problem depending on the version of your Apple device and the version of your...
I had to pick a spec they already had so I couldn't add anything hopefully build time isn't to long I didn't really want the T7 because of the shared platform with ford and wouldn't really be a transporter. They had the Navigation system "Discover Media" including "Streaming & Internet"on the...
Does the Kenwood dmx9720xds do the visual parking sensor display like the Alpine and OEM units do? I can't seem to find it in the feature list.
Trying to decide between Alpine ILX-F115D and the Kenwood dmx9720xds as I can get them for the same price...
