    Fault code P0299 Boost - 2019 Crafter

I found something……. When I bought the new o ring for turbo to charge air pipe, I also bought a new gasket for egr outlet into inlet manifold….. I took the pipe off, and noticed a black cob of muck, cleaned it back and found a brased repair to a hole. Looks like it’s been leak too as this pic...

EGR pipe replacement - OEM or aftermarket?

Hi I had a split egr rear pipe and my T6 was out of warranty I spoke directly to VW Head Office to explain the situation and to bring it to there attention that it was a safety issue as fumes where entering the Cab and I was really happy that they agreed to do it for free under warranty.

Warranty refusal: crankshaft oil seal failure

While oil leakes are not covered. Which I think is a bit bad really. They all in extended warranty is still worth considering. We've had dual mass flyer wheel, EGR cooler, EGR pipe, all replaced under warranty. Over £2k worth of work.

Friendly TPS dealers in the northwest.

Hi. Last time I tried to buy parts for my local TPS dealer (Cheadle Stockport) was sent away as I’m not “trade” - although I’m a limited company. Can anyone recommend a better branch who wants my money? I need a EGR flexi pipe at some point soon Thanks

EGR flexi-pipe: Exhaust Fumes In Cab, Hissing From Engine Bay.

I am looking at the rear egr valve (as best I can) It looks like it it is the new style pipe (fatter with the rough rather than smooth exterior). Whereas the front pipe looks pretty shiny (as does the egr valve) the back pipe is dark brown/black colour. I think I am getting fumes in the cab...

How noisy should a regen be?

There could be a leaking egr pipe which is more noticeable when on regeneration. Advice is to allow the regeneration to complete rather than repeatedly interrupting the process.

    Sold Rear EGR pipe - Euro 6 - 04L 131 521BH

Selling a rear EGR pipe and gaskets / bolts for a euro 6 engine. New revised design. Selling on behalf of someone who is no longer a T6 owner, and isn't on the forum. Looking for £80 posted, a quick google shows these have gone up quite a bit, so good excuse for a bargain. 04L 131 521BH...

Seeking Solutions for Drowsiness While Driving T6 California – Insights Needed!

Hey n10b, it’s been doing it since before I changed the EGR plus new reinforced pipe. I could smell it in the cab sometimes. Now no more smell and CO meter shows reading of zero. I don’t have heated windscreen. It doesn’t handle badly but these stock shocks aren’t factory fresh with 145,000km...

    Air escaping

...yesterday 150bhp with 90k. Whooshing and loss of power, then coil light flashing and whooshing stopped but limp home. Garage found the front EGR pipe flange braze had failed. Did some stainless steel weld on it and it seems as good as new, no pressure loss and no further faults. Very helpful...

Losing Coolant internally 2017 2.0 TDI 150bph exAA van

My van’s been in for investigation today about the ongoing coolant loss. A different garage has stuck a camera in the new EGR and found it contains water. There is apparently a service bulletin that requires some new modified bits when fitting an EGR or it risks over heating the EGR and...

    Front Flexi pipe blanked off??

Hi folks Thought I'd replace the front Flexi pipe as it was looking a bit sooty and I've got low flow messages. To my surprise, the end fitted to what I think is the EGR cooler, has a blanking plate fitted across it. Behind it is a big fat pile of exhaust sludge. I'm guessing this engine...

EGR temp sensor 2 part number

So, yesterday I got bored so I whipped off the front EGR pipe at the EGR cooler end, with that off I could clearly see the soot was moist, not the dried / caked on soot I saw when I changed the pipe 2 years ago. I used my bore scope and sent it down into the cooler and what should I find...

204 remap (likely Revo) - feedback from those who have had it done

I’d take a Revo over a Piddle remap all day long, tried and tested on 100’s of 204’s. The injectors are the last of your worries on a 204, egr valve, egr cooler, dpf, crank seal, flexi-pipe will all self-destruct before the injectors ;)

    EGR connect

...if it was a CFCA with a Tafmet kit, it isn’t. As far as I’m aware there is no way to disable the EGR without a software modification and possibly some EGR pipe blanking plates as the valve will almost certainly be leaking. You will probably need to track down the previous owner to get the...
