I went with Osram Cool Blue Intense for the dipped and main and Twenty20 for the DRL. The LEDs are canbus friendly but if your battery is low will give a bulb out warning. This clears on the next start when the battery is back to normal. Osram Cool Blue Intense H7 Twenty20 DRL bulbs

I bought some Twenty20 Cree LED DRL's for my H4's about a year ago and the bulb warning light has just come on (despite the bulb being fine). The DRL on our 2012 T5.1 has stopped working. The bulb is OK, but I have no idea where the fuse is to check if it has blown. Could someone kindly point me in the right direction. Thanks in advance

Sean replacing the DRL bulb on the H7 headlight unit without removing the whole headlight unit is pretty much impossible. That’s why VW are telling you it’s a wiring issue…. removal of the bumper/grill to then remove the headlight unit is inevitable. Don’t be afraid to tackle this job yourself...

...out the bulb holder for the wired version. Sadly VW now want £27 each for the repair part!!! So if your making the change to H7 check the DRL bulb holder and if it has the old style bayonet contacts maybe think about changing them out for the wired type while you have the headlight units out.

My DRL holder is slightly melted but works. Drops out occasionally, hence the repair kit purchase. I did the upgrade about 3 or 4 weeks ago. Hope yours stays working for you. The night breakers in dedicated reflectors make a huge difference. Programming dipped to stay on when full beam on is...

There’s some recent comments on the H4 to H7 thread where a few of us have used the Twenty20 drl can bus led from Auto Bulbs Direct with no issues.
