...was due in a couple months, to carry out the service a bit early, thus replacing the oil and filter with new, to eliminate the possible oildilution with diesel fuel during regeneration (I was told that VW would not cover the cost of oil replacement). I also requested the service centre to...
If only it were that simple. 2% fuel dilution is a concern, 4% is critical.
A ‘burn’ down the motorway will just turn the turbos that much faster on some less than ideal oil.
Let us know how much the oil level drops after the ‘burn’.
Hi
I've tried the blockmap as you suggested and just with measured values ticked the 4 you suggested returned nothing, so I added measured values.
I also did a "Whole Vehicle".
I've attached all the results. I hope this is useful for you.
Regards Derek
Most likely it's the clogged DPF which triggers the DPF regeneration - because based on measured pressure loss across the DPF ECU decides DPF needs to be cleaned. Some plots were here.

just an update on this:
so low level . . .
but no sign of a leak?
this was confirmed by the Dealer - No Leak,
so the PS oil was topped up.
i asked about where the oil had gone, they said it probably hadn't been topped up ever, so over the last 5years it had just gone down a bit...
...2018 plate.
How do we know as second hand buyers of these euro 6 engines, that they havnt suffered from excessive wear previously due to excessive oildilution???
I paid 26 grand for this and its startinh to worry me a bit, just want an idea of what to hit VW with when i say i want it looking at
It probably hasn’t been diluted but the case in the youtube videos the oil was removed and again it increased as far as I understood it, allowing for expansion.
Fuel Usage:
Fuel usage based on written log, actual bought litres and fuel guage segment pint (0 to 64). .

Whether you have a fault code or not if the oil level on the dipstick is over the max level it needs attention.
If you have breakdown cover / VW Assist get them out, they can assess why it is over level and syringe some out.
If it is significant fuel / coolant dilution the engine will be wrecked...
I must look into this.... Commenting to remember! My transit custom has 50k on clock now. Serviced every year as matter of course and typically 7k miles a year....
This is all really interesting. Here is my oil analysis from March. This was as I picked the van up. Since then its had a flush, three oil changes, and new dpf and a blocked and mapped out egr. Based on the service history the oil had only done a 6k miles. Miller's guy said
"As you are...
I was on empty last night out about 12litres of unleaded in and realised. Fill the remainder of tank with Diesel and travelled the 6 miles home. Seemed to be ok. I have a 2016 shuttle 204dsg. I’m now wondering should i call out a misfuel company to drain it or do as I’ve read online and add some...
If the mix in the tank is 85% diesel and 15% petrol I’m thinking I might just get away with it. Especially if I either top up the tank with about 400ml of 2 stroke mineral oil Jaso FB grade or keep topping up with premium diesel daily, which will dilute the unleaded mix daily. @Fish further up...
If the oil level has physically increased requiring draining and nobody has added oil there are two possibilities;
Fuel dilution, hard to determine without a oil analysis.
Coolant dilution, this would result in emulsification and easy to spot.
Both severely affect the oils performance and can...
61k miles - low steering rack fluid.
++++++++++++
Steering started to feel heavy on 2/3rds lock ..
Checking the levels i found this. (hot engine.)
Eeek.

As per Millers comment, ' aluminium to be at the limit', 30ppm is where Millers suggest is the upper limit before some critical action is required to avoid further bore damage
I did once yes, and it didn't seem to do anything so I gave up!
You can force a regen at standstill using VCDS and (I believe) a combination of pedal action, but the car has to be hot.
I was just curious really as this is the first EU6 car I've had (actually our Qashqai was probably EU6, but...
