Fitted smoked winddeflectors and a set of Amarok wheels I bought for a bargain (tyres included) and had painted gloss black. Looking mint! Going to remove the racks, cos it’s looking a bit busy now.
...60 mph the top flipped up. Horrible feeling.Once it happens to you once you will be putting straps on as well.
Yes there is a rubber winddeflector fitted.
I will still trust the latches for short jaunts in the summer, but I use my van all the time as a work vehicle, in the winter in the wind...
I have had my Heko for about 6 months and they have both become unstuck in the corners. I got extra clips to put in place to hold it in but still drops, I am waiting for mine to fly off! wish there was a better way to secure them.
Ah - yes, I forgot to add - fitted the Climair winddeflectors. Takes about 1 minute per window. Main thing is to have someone holding the tiny little screw who can hand it to you very carefully.
I got some Clim Air winddeflectors from my daughter. My family understand my DIY limitations and they reckoned fitting the deflectors would be about my limit. How right they were! :D
Fitted new WindDeflectors.. changed the Heko’s - not my install but they had worked a little loose & only 2 clips inserted.
aesthetically better & actually sound better too..
changed the rear Halogens for LED’s last week.. oh yes.. look awesome..
next week there’ll be something else...
So another little update. I decided to do a test camp at the weekend in the van with the wife and newborn in tow.
I quickly realised winddeflectors would probably be a good idea and light switches are your friend so I’ve ordered some deflectors and a few spare remotes for my lights and...
If the bolt won't pull down far enough you could trim a bit off the end of it.
There should be a winddeflector rubber strip across the top of your windscreen that the roof lid sits just behind. On later roofs there was also a 'whistle strip' fitted just behind the winddeflector that the...
Winddeflectors - going on tomorrow morning
Wolfbox Dashcam - I am procrastinating with as I am scared to wire in to the reverse light cable, if I can even figure out how to route to it.
THQ replacements bulbs - yet to be delivered
Hi All, does anyone recognise this elevating roof and manufacturer? It has a curved front spoiler and a fluted pattern on the top of the roof? Its not one we are familiar with but need to source a new front winddeflector. We've tried all the suppliers we know but to no avail
Thanks,
Ian

Set of OEM winddeflectors, I have replaced them with Heko as I prefer the look. They will need the remaining adhesive removing and new reapplying.
Strictly collection only from near Cannock Staffs
@Bav. Thanks for that - the crack grows by about 1mm with even a light press of the thumb from the inside! I'm kind of hoping that they don't have to remove the winddeflector but fear the worse.
Yeah I'm ok with a slight bit of wind noise, I do have an awning currently fitted and really don't notice it at all.
It's hard to know without actually driving one with it installed though!
The frontrunner is lower profile and with the air deflector so should be better.
