Earlier timestamp is the 2 stage journey before EGR removal. Later is the 1 stage journey after EGR removal. EGR was blanked both sides and mapped out. Curious to see if you find anything useful or interesting!

It’s not just a case of blanking the EGR, additional mapping changes are required.

It’s just mapped out and left in place. The blanking plates stop any exhaust gases leaking past the egr valve. The coolant still passes through. For MOT purposes it looks factory. Mine has passed a couple of MOTs since we put it to sleep.

This is the specified flow, right? Ie EGR valve position will be regulated based on this value plus ofc other parameters. Not sure how exactly EGR insufficient flow is detected but I suppose it could involve at least manifold pressure (too low), exhaust temperature (too high) and O2 (too lean)...

Somehow I missed that earlier! I’m almost 100% sure that the new EGR won’t be clogged at 7K miles, IF they renewed it. Another possibility is that the pipes are fouled with carbon, there are different types of EGR used in Transporters, VW modified some pipes so that they don’t block with carbon...
