2017 204 oil consumption issues [Resolved]

The EGR blanking plates could be placed at either end of the EGR pipes but it you want the best protection against a split pipe they should be placed so that the pipes are isolated along with the EGR unit.

EGR Sensor 'A' (EGR Sensor '1')

I've just stripped and cleaned the EGR on my van. 2016 T6 104 SWB (euro6) manual. #teamsilver Some notes: The steel pipe under the EGR can be bent down about 10mm, just enough to expose the nut behind it (lower left nut as you look from the right), fairly easy to get a deep socket on it then...

    Fault code P0299 Boost - 2019 Crafter

I replaced the egr inlet pipe yesterday as I had suspected this, but on removal it was fairy straight, no pitting or splits etc…. I went to Vw and got a new one anyway, along with new gaskets and spline bolts…. I should also have done the egr outlet pipe , as I know one end of it has a rubber...

    Turbo - anyone upgraded.

Hi. Are to you sure it's not a boost leak somewhere or maybe the EGR pipe which is known to split? The symptoms are whistling but it can also create a diesel exhaust smell in the cabin as the gases are released in the engine bay. Just a thought. I only have the 140 so a different turbo and...

EGR pipe replacement - OEM or aftermarket?

Hi I had a split egr rear pipe and my T6 was out of warranty I spoke directly to VW Head Office to explain the situation and to bring it to there attention that it was a safety issue as fumes where entering the Cab and I was really happy that they agreed to do it for free under warranty.

    Split front EGR flexi

Had the front EGR pipe split at the flange yesterday on me, managed to do a temp fix to get me home with some magic metal. But on removing today the end was absolutely covered in crap. Is this a normal amount to expect? Oh and is there an easier way to get to the torx bolt on far side? It was...

Everythings going wrong! EGR pipes and sticking inlet manfold flap valves link?

Hi all, first time poster but quickly getting used to garage bills and reading this forum! So I bought my 2016 T6 a few months ago. I discovered the rear egr pipe was split so replaced it. I then started to get an eml with the P2006 intake manifold runner control stuck closed bank 1A code. I...

Advice please - EGR and Manifold issues (split pipe)

Start with the split EGR pipe and go from there. A common problem and easy fix for your local Indy. Or diy if you like playing with spanners. Then note, clear the codes and see what comes back. Id imagine a EGR flush/replacement may be due if you haven't had it done yet?

Re - gen happening too often

Mine will do a regen when there is less than a quarter of a tank in. 2017 204. I can only ever smell the regen if I’m outside the van-even when stationary. Deffo check the egr pipes for a split.

How noisy should a regen be?

Agree with Paul, let it regen if the fans are running after the engine has stopped you've interrupted the regeneration cycle. Check the EGR hard pipe at the back of the engine. Common issue for them to split on the corrugated section near the flange that bolts onto the exhaust side

    Engine/exhaust blowing noise

There are EGR two pipes that have a habit of splitting - one at the front and one at the back of the engine. There is also the flexi exhaust downpipe. It sounds like one of these are split from your description.

Losing Coolant internally 2017 2.0 TDI 150bph exAA van

My van’s been in for investigation today about the ongoing coolant loss. A different garage has stuck a camera in the new EGR and found it contains water. There is apparently a service bulletin that requires some new modified bits when fitting an EGR or it risks over heating the EGR and...

Seeking Solutions for Drowsiness While Driving T6 California – Insights Needed!

Hey n10b, it’s been doing it since before I changed the EGR plus new reinforced pipe. I could smell it in the cab sometimes. Now no more smell and CO meter shows reading of zero. I don’t have heated windscreen. It doesn’t handle badly but these stock shocks aren’t factory fresh with 145,000km...

    EGR insufficient flow repetitive fault

Best check for a split EGR pipe then, if you look yourself you may see a sooty black mark on the bellows section of the pipes.

    Egr front flexi pipe

Sorry to start another post but can’t find the answer I’m looking for. When on boost/ under load my van has started to make a loud whistle. EGR flexi-pipe: Exhaust Fumes In Cab, Hissing From Engine Bay.

Tried soap and water. No bubbles, but can't see the underside of the rear pipe. Is there anything else that can cause/leak fumes? Also getting the 'insufficient gas flow' error code The rear egr is the updated version. Have there been reports of the updated one splitting?

Hi my rear EGR pipe is split and I need to source another. Is anyone able to give me a part number. Registration number is T6 CBY. Its a CXHA engine code.
