Works with OEM aerial, wheel controls, parking sensors, OEM camera, But you will need to run a new mic We do have a used 8020 for sale , replacement is now the DMX8021dabs

Funny I bought mine from Poole and that has no dab either. Not chuffed with the service either so far

I’d love to hear the difference to sound quality when replacing standard speakers and sound deadening the doors over OEM speakers. I’ve no room in my van for extra spearers In the back and subwoofers etc. If it’s night and day different then the question is how much did it cost?

Yes, I'm suffering poor DAB reception too. Most of the time the radio doesn't even pick up the big BBC stations. I just assumed the T6 DAB radios were rubbish.

Does this unit work with OEM DAB aerial, wheel controls, mic, MFD, etc? Looking for plug and play, without the need for extra cable runs and stick on aerials.

You can see on there it shows aerial 2 as the FM aerial in the right wing mirror so i assume its that one note DAB is a separate antenna

I fitted a dab aerial to a pop top and it works great, never get much drop out at all now.

My dashcam ruins the DAB reception.

Thanks. Mines is an older t5.1 so no dab option. I think the head unit is the usual owner upgrade (I've seen it on youtube) and it works great via apple carplay. I'm going to check out the antenna option on ebay as previously suggested and if that's a complete plug and play solution I'll go with...

The T6 and T6.1 are very different in terms of electronics. The RCD330 works in the T6 and older as a direct replacement, but not in anything newer. Besides, it doesn't have a CD player, or DAB.

I've just swapped from a ford connect - signal was brilliant on this. I had caddys prior to the ford and they were dismal. My new T6.1 is awful. Seems like VW dont do DAB - maybe thats the only benefit i can see of the Ford/VW merger - good DAB

...everything works apart from the park pilot display, I have beeps but no visual - is it possible to retain this? If so do I need an additional bit of kit or based on what I bought is it likely we wired it incorrectly? Also does anyone know what DAB aerial adapter is required? I have FM / AM...
