Yes I already have that carrier under the seat you mention and bought the new red fuse holder strip (SH1-12) to go in there, (see photo). There is a long cable attached to the new red fuse holder strip (SH1-12) and it's that cable that I'd like to know the correct routing for, and the correct...
Hi mmi, do you know if I routecable from the dashboard to the secondary battery, is it done, or I must put a relay on pump, valve and other components ?
Thanks
Well it is until you see the price of the customer replacement plate fuse...
Overall it's much easier to add to that fusebox than the one underneath the battery, but I think I'd treat it much more as a distribution point and fuse things as if they were not fused so just treating the plate fuse...
I ran various cables along that route, there is a hole in the back of the b pillar so you can run under the window.
I can’t help on the length, your overal route might be different to mine. Roughly it’s about 2.5 m across, 5 m long, 1m up, and 1m back down. At least 10m. Just lay a tape...
If I was starting from scratch with a van I'd 100% get all the wiring, plumbing etc in first before doing any sort of panelling - I'd also definitely put in routing channels with conduit - there's always something you want to fit later on that you didn't anticipate and especially when you're...
That's what I ended up choosing to do :) The camera can be fixed on top of the plastic wiper motor cover and the cable can be routed inside the tailgate under the window and up the side to the rubber gaiter. I have the AUTO-VOX V5PRO and the rear camera has a decent field of view and adjustability.
Because I want to use the parking mode on the highly sensitive setting, it also often sits for quite some time, so I try and keep as much as possible away from the main battery. BTW it works really well a light tap on the windows is all it takes to start recording.
I also prefer to keep any 3rd...
If the battery area is wet then that is also the area that cabling is often run for after market leisure batteries and EHU.
Might be worth your while tracing the cable through the scuttle and the bulkhead and check that route, also check that nothing can hold water on that area.
Might also be...
The chassis acts as a huge negative cable - so if your lights are connected on the positive cable to your leisure battery, and the negative is connected to the chassis near the lights, connecting the shunt P- to the chassis ground (via the busbar) means instead of a long negative going from the...
You can remove the socket in the dash (not easy unless you have some outward circlip pliers!) then cut the positive cable, attach a new cable and route to the fuse box below the gear lever. Drop the cable down through the dash. Then attach to one of the ignition switched fuses in the middle row...
For me… my LB us under the drivers seat, as mine is a camper and I wanted to be able to get to the camper electrics easily and so I installed them underneath the pax seat (otherwise the furniture is in the way).
There is one large (and perhaps a smaller) grommet / bung underneath both seat...
Hi All,
OK, so I'm currently planning a few upgrades, namely, an OEM Tow Bar and Loom, Trailer Assist, Side Assist, TPMS and the extra 2 sensors on the rear bumper for PLA. and.... I have a few questions.
As I'm almost at the stage to insulate, sound deaden the cab, fit the Alpine Sub under...
Looking for some information about how the solar panels are fitted.
I am interested in how the cables from the solar panel enter the van.
So would like to know do they come through the roof inside or outside of the canvas and how they are routed after that.
Also was the panel fitted by the...
Of course I have, yeah. Pretty much keeping it floor level, planning on drilling a hole in the bottom of the seatbase somewhere near the back and then with a gland and some conduit or a grommet, running it out and down in to the step void under the floor (I have a twin slider) and then back up...
T6.1, do not want to drill any holes in the roof. I see a few rubber gaskets along the rain gutter above the barn doors (where a tailgate would hinge I guess). These look ideal for cable routing from inside to the roof racks above for lighting, solar panel etc.. Is that what these gaskets are...
I need to run a thicker cable from the leisure battery under the passenger seat to the 12v socket on the side of the drivers seat. Unfortunately my dometic fridge doesn’t like the original thin wiring.
Does anyone know the easiest way to route the cable from under the passenger seat to under the...
