Ressurecting an old thread, hope that is OK.
If I do a white split wrap on a Ravenna Blue van, do I have to tell the DVLA I have (sort of) changed the colour?
Thanks
...Possibly folded mirrors might tuck inside but I have not tried that. Would be easy for a seamster to either add them or to make detachable or separate mirror warmers. i seem to have made a modification by adding thermal Silver Bubble wrap under the covers for additional insulation for camping.
That’s exactly the way I want to go did you paint the chrome parts yourself?
I was thinking about doing it myself using liquid wrapping (Plasti Dip), any feedback?
@Petezum
Huge favour to ask. I need a small piece of vinyl wrap to match an Acapulco Blue van (60mm x 200mm or less than A5 ish) for a little project to infill half of our front badge. Would you have such a thing in stock or know where I could get some please?
Many thanks.
Sorry for not spotting this and replying sooner - top half is Candy white (The original van colour). The bottom is VW Makena Turquoise.
It's sprayed, not wrapped.
I do this for a living (more wrapping vehicles and signs) I did look into wrapping camper units but haven’t had time to give it my full attention yet. I have wrapped a few kitchens which is pretty much the same thing. I would say with the vinyls these days it would be a learning curve but doable...
It is beyond any doubt a T7 Multivan based vehicle, completely 100% Ford free.
BTW, I like this version. To save folk the bother of buying a Startline in white or silver and then trying to disguise it with a two-tone paint job or wrap they've done it for us.
New straps would be my first guess. Get them long enough that they can be left in place when the roof goes up and can then be well wrapped around your hand when down and tightening. Mine can’t be moved once tightened.
Anyone who's ever tried getting a St. Bernard to play fetch will be familiar with the withering, utterly disinterested look they give you, as if to say "Why on earth have thrown that over there? You're going to have to retrieve that now." :)
