...only partial) DPF regeneration. This shortened cycle combined with highly elevated NOx levels during DPF regeneration could be a candidate for P20EE fault under certain conditions.
Exact threshold TBC - highest recorded soot calculated was 10.61 grams, which ECU considered as finished DPF...
...engine cold start effects on NOx emissions - possibly addressed by ECU update (see above "Short term stats") - possibly related to infamous P20EE fault code in early days of T6.
In this data the "DPF regeneration" period has been isolated from the data (different journeys than "Normal engine...
...was an official recall.
For N1 class (VIN WV1....) the update was not classified as mandatory but was/will be done if faults (especially P204F, P20EE) show up. So basically the decision is left to service center.
In the paperwork it was mentioned that the update might increase AdBlue...

I believe they are related. P20EE just indicates too high NOx level in the exhaust, which is a consequence of poorly working NOx reduction system as a whole. Thus a guess would be either the...
...piles of junk to earn a living.
I like many have experienced these issues. My van was in 6 times for a total of 52 days back in 2020 due to the P20EE code. I never had the P0401 code. VW will do a step by step process to basically get away with what they can with this issue. I had a new NOx...
...an EML. Carista showed P0401 fault when I scanned it - its a 102 18 plate PV with 49K on the clock. They looked at the van and diagnosed P20EE fault but software is shown as being up to date (I guess the current software does not eliminate all P20EE faults). The notes sent to me show they...
Bit of an update to the saga garage has done an scr reset forced regen and reflashed ECU EML has come back on with p20ee code and egr insufficient flow within 60 miles but no adblue countdown as yet
After speaking to previous owner he said it had a dpf clean by a proper company a year or two ago
We tested the adblue injector it was atomising but slowly and not much adblue was dosed but we have nothing to compare with if it's normal or not
...expect to see less than 25ppm under these condition (even below 10ppm with the updated ECU software). The above might actually explain the P20EE faults in earlier log.
I believe the NOx sensor works correctly (wake up, live data). Assuming the values reported by sensor are of right...
...I can't say anything definite on these - I believe they relate to recent P204F....
Note the mileage and time in freeze frame on P204F and P20EE are the same...

...at 600 miles. So I filled up the ad blue tank and it only took 8l: I thought it was 13 l tank. I checked the Carista and I got an error code P20EE SCR Nox Catalyst below threshold. So I reset it, Ad Blue still showed 600 mile, the warning was still there but about 70 m miles later jumped to...
Hi guys,
another update... i got the same error a week ago more or less
I have gone underneath the van a disassemble the SCR Adblue injector. Surprisingly, the injector was quite clean, with almost no soot around it nor AdBlue crystalized.... for sure i was expecting to find much more dirt...
Another set of logs. For the moment, the error hasnt come back...
I really hope that was not the issue as it is going to be very complicated... apart from loosing the remap and the money...
I guess what they will say: We have done this remap to hundreds of this engines and there hasnt been...
...it's very simple to increase the power/torque but to keep the emissions down is the challenging part.
I'm wondering what they would say about P20EE fault re their remap? Would they offer to put the OEM software back in the engine - to eliminate the remap causing the excessive NOx emissions...
Hi mmi
Thanks for such detailed analysis
So... with that context, that data is from a van where this system was not optimised yet (old software)
This really bothers me, that means adblue system is trying to compensate this high amount of NOx particulates and the fault comes up when adblue is...
Food for thought...
For comparison a recording from a T6 (150kW/204PS) without the software update - thus prone to P20EE fault. The recording was a long one - 2h18mins.
The load conditions seem to be reasonably similar to yours, see average speeds.
Based on these two recordings (just...
that makes 100% sense, so, with that paremeter, we have some kind of idea what is going on with the ad blue injectot but not a fact, understood. It is a pitty that sensor does not exist to provide an accurate measurement.
No need to thank me, just trying to be helpful sharing my data/experience...
