    I think I've messed up!

I used a flat blade screwdriver that had a magnetic tip to ruffle the filings out of the mesh and it seemed to stick to the end of the screwdriver. Also, I did make this discovery while I was changing the Sump gasket and oil cooler, so I did swap out the oil and filter for fresh anyway. I also...

    Using a NOCO jump starter

That's a shame Pete. And supprising? I've started a T6 with a dead flat battery..... Used overide mode and turned the start key asap so as not to loose to much pack power into the starter battery.

    Dellmassive`s Camper Van Adventure

-- 50w Solar panel to keep the van alive -- not having any solar wasn't the full truth. . . . being camping before with my other T6, i knew full well that the starter battery would be flat after camping in the van for a long weekend. +++ opening and closing doors, locking and unlocking...

Lithium LifePo4 12v Batteries - Time For An Upgrade?

This may be a daft question, but is there any good reason not to replace the main vehicle battery with a Lifepo4 type? I’m swapping vans, and have previously fitted a 100ah Regony with 20a DC-DC under the passenger single swivel. It’s a game changer in terms of my use case of fridge/diesel...

    My Sportline Journey

...one made up and installed. Took me around 4-5 hours in the end. Transporter HQ done a video on YouTube which explains how to do it from flat pack but Ovano have improved on the product so some of the video is irrelevant. Now I’ve had a couple of beers and a tidy up and very happy with the...

Interior light connectors - male and female

Yes I got it sorted, added the pins and wires it all up. The male socket was from EBay and came as a pack of two. Search - Fit For Transporter T5 T6 Crafter Interior Reading Courtesy Map Light Wire 2pc. That’s how it was listed. I needed to extend the cables so I cut off the socket and re...

    Loose external sliding door handle

Job done Didn’t use the Allen key I was anticipating, too big. Funnily enough I had one of those cheap crappy Allen keys that come with flat pack furniture lying about. Went straight in, clipped in nicely, and I’ve put a blob of silicone on. Handle is tight and working like a dream. Hurrah!!

Renogy 50ah lithium battery not accepting a charge

FWIW. . . I've had the same situation. i had a 12v lifpo4 that we took camping. . . and left all the 12v stuff running all weekend. i forgot about it and it run flat and cut out. . . no problem at this stage as the BMS would have allowed a charge. but i come home and unpacked and forgot...

    What Have You Bought Today?

So, after taking a break from charging while we were out, the battery is charged (it took 3 hours from all but flat to fully charged). The Ecoflow has 59% left. Here is the before and after from the app.

    What Have You Bought Today?

...if you look at the tape on the box it’ll give you a clue. Or I can just tell you it’s the kitchen from Built Creations. They send it out flat packed and cushion wrapped to prevent any damage. The courier will then come back for the crate so they can use again. I can highly recommend them if...

Those Bikestows are very good, I had a look at one recently. They are expensive but very nicely made, flat pack in seconds for storage etc.

    240v Inverter vs Warranty.

Yes it will run all that.... A noco jump pack is only for jump starting a flat battery. It's the recharge you need to consider.... Recharge when driving is limited to 8A ( or 8Ah)... So how long is you drive daily? If the drive is too short you can always take it out and recharge at home...

    NoCo Boost GB70 Success

Not posting much as on holiday (and not in the Caravelle) but I did bring the NoCo Boost GB70 with me just in case. And just managed to start this Long story short the engineering train stopped to let the steam past and then found they had a flat battery, and thier spare was also flat...

Powering a camper from a power pack without a leisure battery?

Ok but my point is unless there is a time in the day where the EFD2 is fully charged you don't need the Roamer. In slower charging power packs then a storage battery that can charge faster off solar than the power pack and then slowly trickle charge makes sense. However your EFD2 can happily...

    Clayton power units

i can take a look at it if you can get it to me. . . ( the normal issue I've seen with these is PPL let them go too flat, so the BMS blocks any charge - the install guide clearly states to charge them every month or so, and not to let them run flat) another option - buy mine...

    Battery charging from cig socket

the Noco 1250A (GBX45) is a jump pack and to be used if the battery was flat. Noco are one of the best jump packs. https://no.co/gbx45 .............. but the GBX45 is concidered underpowered for a T6, and a GB70 Upwards is recomended for the T6. +++++++++++ as its a jump starter...
