    Kombi Bed Search Quest

...to nab the plyguys idea and put some bungies across the opening to hold stuff in or something similar. Overall. Marginally more than the flat pack options I looked at and not as much as the plyguys but with the benefit of bespoking on top. I did speak to the plyguys and there was no option to...

    Which Jump Starter?

I've tried a number of Jump Packs. (imports, cloans, SLA, cheap, expensive etc etc etc) They have ALL failed the tests unfortunately. - especially the most basic one, "Will it jump start a Flat T6" stick with a known brand that is tried and tested and dont waist your money like i did...

    Which Jump Starter?

https://www.mobilesolarchargers.co.uk/shop/details/overland-waterproof-car-jump-starter These folks are worth checking out - their starter packs are well reviewed. We bought one for my mother in law who drives her car infrequently and sometimes finds the battery has gone flat. This means she...

    Flat Pack Interior Suppliers?

The missus isn't so keen on the kitchen furniture / layout of our new van. I've seen the Flat-pack DIY offerings from Evomotion which are heaps better, but are there any other suppliers I could be looking at? I'm fairly handy and feel quite confident I could swap it all out myself... (famous...

How robust are portable type panels?

Those do look good, look like essentially rigid panels with a neat frame and case? - Yep Do you find the PWM controller good enough for basic charging? - Yep, but i swapped out to a Victron for the monitoring ( used mc4/anderson quick disconects) I'd probably get an MC4 extension cable so the...

    What's The Best Portable Jack?

That doesn’t look like a C rated tyre. Unless you drive around a velodrome IMO anything other than C rated is asking for problems.

[GUIDE] Raising the floor height to match OEM rails

That is bizarre. So either the metal floor, the rubber mat, or the ply is out - or the rail isn’t positioned flat against the floor? Can it be packed out at the shallower end, or is it out at different points?

What Have You Done To Your Van Today?

Yeah, not cheap. I think much of the cost is in the replacement step with the bottom rail built in. The ones for flat sided vans (not curved like a Transporter) are much cheaper. We’ve ummed & ahhd for a couple of years about buying one. Every time we’re sat on a site battling mozzies & flys, we...

    [Guide] Mobile Solar Panels ? . . . - How I Did It -

I have a couple of Solar questions which I hope the forum can help me answer. @Dellmassive is the 'suitcase' ok to leave out if it rains? Do you pack it away if you are not in the van, incase anyone steals it? I'm wondering about leaving it hooked up, laid flat on the roof of the van, when we...

Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Further to my last post (#10,767), we got an early(ish) start and did a longer than usual run (for us anyway) covering the 630 Km from Aosta to near Ancona yesterday and am now camped at Camping Bellamare in Porto Recanati. We've been here before so knew what to expect in terms of the site but...

    Evomotion kitchen order delays

Yes sounds like your nearly there now. Are you having yours delivered by them or collecting from the factory ? I was quoted over £400 by Evo for delivery to Solihull which is eye watering when you consider it is flat packed so have chosen to collect instead.

Where Have You Been In Your Van Today?

Minehead c&cc site pretty much empty now all the families have packed up. Been very nice a peaceful though even when full. Nice site with great views and walk into town. Nightmare finding a flat pitch though.

[GUIDE] How to fit Van-X curtains to a T6 (barn doors, VGC flush-sliding windows)

The rail doesn't need very much bending in actual fact, you just need to know where! The bending jig needs packing out, definitely, and a template you can go back to over-and-over is pretty essential, as you can't do both ends at once. What I found was that the rail bends some way away from...
