Not many running 15mm spacers with the 235 tyre. Can I ask how much clearance you have between the tyre and the sliding door please?

Spare wheel smaller than the rest.

    Sounds good - I am on 235 /55 / R18 from the old 205 / 65 / R16 so I might consider a 235 / 55 /17 if it will fit in the rack under the back

Hi they are just black nut covers on the OEM bolts Just done 2k miles on the Falken 235s and they are great on the road not much off road action yet. Slight drop in MPG I think

225/65R17 FALKEN A/T TRAIL 106H XL were fine for load and speed. Good on 110 bhp and quiet too. I don't see the point of getting a camper that's going to be going to fields and not having semi-decent AT tyres personally.

    255/55/R18 or 235/55/R18 Tyres for a T32 4 Motion?

Do you think a 235 65 17 tyre will fit in the carrier? I’m looking into what size wheel/ tyre I can use as a spare, iv heard a 4motion transmission really needs the same tyre size as a spare, if driving any sort of distance, I’ll admit, I haven’t got down and looked at the carrier in much detail

40MM What 18" or 17" AT wheel & Tyre combo would Fit?

The most that you can add before the speedo starts to under read is about 24mm. This is what you get going from a 215/60/17 to a 235/65/17, for example. Obviously losing 24mm of arch gap will also mean a 24mm increase in ground clearance. The standard ride height (unloaded) is just too high...

So I was thinking std VW transporter steels and Falken Wildpeak maybe 225/65/17's or I guess 235's. Can someone help with an opinion on speed/load rating? 225/65/17's - 102H is this okay?

    Straight swap to BFG’s

Here’s 2 x t32 4motions. Red one has 235/60/17 agilis crossclimate. Dark blue? One has 235/65/17 cooper discoverers. Red one has rogue alloys. One of those vans had bfg 245/65/17 ko2 before but took them off because the noise got worse and worse as they wore down.

I run 235/65/17 in a 108. They make a 245/65/17 as well but with a 111 rating. Don't think there are many options outside of these two, maybe a 225 width. 245 will be very large and likely to rub.

4motion rear diff oil change... anyone doing this ??

my 235/65 17 Falken Wildthingys are really quiet, no difference to the std 17's. I cant remember if I had mentioned this. Retro Resus did a 4motion and drive check and service for me and they always add in a drain bolt in the blank space where VW forgot to put it. They said 'sealed for life'...

...reckons the tyres have been sat in a stack and slightly deformed, making them more difficult to fit. Not the first time he's seen it with higher profile tyres apparently. Still, I wasn't expecting there to be an issue. Anyone else had this problem? Tomahawk Katos 17s Falken Wildpeaks AT...
