Maybe mice have got to your wiring over the winter?
If you do a search for mice on the forum you will find others that have had a problem.
Just a thought.
For the two bolts have you got some of those plastic caps to go over them? Just in case your canvas goes anywhere near them to prevent it being damaged
I'm in the same situation my van has been done in silver grey carpet which is a bit light for me someone has suggested fabric paint has anyone done this with success or has anyone just carpeted over existing carpet or does it definitely need to be stripped and start again?
Thanks garrie
I've had someone doing work to my van today, while underneath commented my bed fixing plate should ideally be tied to the chassis. my previous van had the Kiravans fixing kit. could any convertors advise if this is ok? there's 2 large plates and 2 smaller ones. I'm sure not going anywhere
Late reply to this but I haven’t removed any (yet). I have removed a load of factory insulation foam though. Just used a load of white spirit on a rag. No idea if this translates to carpet glue, though I expect it does.
I, and lots and lots of others here, went down the Victron route. It just works - efficiently and reliably. Yes it’s not the cheapest but you do get what you pay for. Having separate units is great for redundancy and can help with squeezing things in under seats, back of cupboards etc. Support...
Thanks guys. I disconnected starter and leisure batteries and left for a good few minutes and then connected up and sorted it
Not sure it was as suggested Bigsidavies or something else but seems to have done the trick
Many thanks again everyone really appreciate the time you’ve taken

dont worry I had the same from ats, he also had a go at me for 235 55 r17 tyres which I kindly replied was a factory size for the van as printed inside the door. He continued to tell me I would have trouble with the abs and front sensor as a result. Thousands of miles later, suprise suprise its...
Thank you. Could a bad connection possibly cause battery drain while the van’s off? My BLUETTI Charger 1 has a fuse trip switch that I leave turned off so it doesn’t try to charge my power station all the time, I presumed this would stop any drain in that circuit. (I apologise if all these...
Hi neverweaken have you resolved this yet? I had a different fault at the beginning of the year and replaced the turbo actuator. The van has been running like a dream for about a week now then today I got the flashing coil light and loss of power. I now have the exact same fault as your van...
This is how my saga started. I was able to keep it topped up until I got a first pump installed. I think the choice is totally up to you….but at some point it will need doing.
