the adblue has 3 lines showing instead of miles, i have filled the tank with 8 liters of add blue but no difference, van still runs but shows no miles
have been advised it could well be deleted
There are three possibilities for the lost oil path assuming it is not an external leak or worn valve seals.
External oil leak - very easy to eliminate by visual check.
Worn valve seals - highly unlikely unless a very high milage / old van and even then the quantity lost would be less than you...
Well worth a watch...

Hmm that's interesting as I've sat in my drive a time or two waiting for a regen to finish, after five minutes or so it goes back to 850rpm idle and the fans shut down and I've concluded that its done ...but maybe not then !!!!
Hi all I wonder if anyone can advise.
I'm looking for a vw T6 swb full length low kitchen (so no wardrobe) with units all the way along beneath the worktop/windows and high cupboards above the windows.
I've found one from van furniture that is lightweight ply, but not sure if this will look...
Hi all
I recently bought a 2016 61k miles T6 campervan (ad blue). Private sell. Runs well but the coolant light came on after a couple of weeks. Topped up and found the level had dropped again after a couple more weeks. I think I lost about 200ml over 250 miles. Then again I added a similar...
...my… they are woeful mechanically .
In the 18months of ownership -
17 miles on clock when bought.
It’s had :
software update due to highoillevel.
Complimentary oil change due to this issue.
Software update for the error on the emergency button
New clutch and flywheel
2 recalls carried...
I'd agree but the van got an oil service yesterday. Wish I had taken the sample before then. I'll have to do a bit of mileage and then take a sample.
Forgot to say that I have been checking oil all year and never used any. Then I happened to check the oil last week when I was getting the van...
Morning,
I’ve recently done a top end rebuild of a 2018 T6 2.0tdi with 104,500m after a cambelt snap. I’ve had all sorts of issues since doing the rebuild one of which was a misfire due to stuck injectors. This is now sorted.
Now she’s up and running I’ve got an oil pressure fault at idle. So...
Tony, I wouldn’t worry too much about the oillevel being too high…. following my van’s oillevel issues, it appears to be less dramatic than first thought. Short, cold drives will mean that failed regens are dumping some fuel into the oil, but the amber warning light still means that it’s safe...
I've had my van for around 3 years and I also had quite a highlevel of anxiety over the egr/oil consumption issues as I thought I had done a bit of research before buying, however I didn't come across the full extent of the EGR info until after I had the van in my hot little hands.
I then had...
Hi, found a couple of post already regarding high usage on the 204 and some even leading to engine failure, has anyone got any experience with this I could ask for help?
I've only had my T6 204 T32 a few months and covered about 2000 miles but in that time its drank 5-6 litres of oil which I top...
Hello,
I bought my van from an private seller back in April 2024 and it has turned out to be one of the worst decisions ever. Less than 2 months into ownership, the VAN suffered a catastrophic failure and went into limp mode. The DPF showed readings of over 300% soot saturation with the...
Cheers mate...
Ok, so I don't think I'm in limp mode.... as the van is still easily drivable. Just very obviously down on power.
So I'm none the wiser as to what is going on??
Carly is telling me I have fault P246300 - Excessive Soot Accumulation but is giving a weird reading of MINUS (-)...
Short Version:
Drove from sea level to 3100m up a very twisty road. Then made several short drives at around 3300m.
Next day entered Cotopaxi at 3500m, and soon regen light came on. Foolishly we climbed even higher and made several scenic stops, including turning off the engine.
On the...
Afternoon all, does anyone know how to reset the oil change interval on a T6.1? I've tried the tried and tested method as per the other threads and the YouTube videos which works for my own T6, but it doesn't seem to work for a T6.1
It doesn't seem to come up on the dashboard display as to how...
Morning all,
Has anyone heard of this company based in Dagenham?
They have quoted me for a reconditioned engine including fitting for my T5.1 CFCA burning excessive oil
They are not VAT registered and take only cash or bank transfer.
The price seems good but other than, trust pilot reviews seem...
WoW!!! Thanks for all that. I've installed Torque Pro and will give it a go later today, but only doing 8 miles each way today.
There's a lot to set up, so I'll get stuck into that.
More data attached, sorry, just clicked wrong file.
Ash residue..... Well....., I was stuck in limp mode, I...
