I believe they use a charge cooler and may be hard pressed to change. As regards as sports cat, good luck finding one. Not sure what real benefit you would get from that anyway. DPF delete will get you some extra horses
...soot mass measured should be climbing - not as fast as calculated but noticeable by every mile.
Have you tried other engine group options in VAG DPF - if any of them shows more meaningful (non-zero) values.
No, it's not related to soot mass calculated/measured .

...Experience if there is a smoke when full throttle then there is several things that can do this
1. bad map over fuelling on full throttle with a dpf in place this is not good and will lead to the dpf failing.
2. DPF has been removed then this can happen and will need addressing in the map to...
Just to update on this (and it isn't good news).
I booked it in to a DPF specialist and following 2 hours of diagnostics, the DPF filter is damaged beyond repair and the oil level is above maximum and contaminated (was only changed a few months ago).

Got to VW who agreed and booked it in

b) kept the same DPF/EGR with a new engine (this is what the previous owner did with mine, hence another new engine needed!)
c)...
Another one bites the dust...
How is your DPF? What kind of regen frequency do you get?
