Sorry to revive an old thread, but none of the above ideas solved my issue. Looking at the link to the MFD menu layout post, it seems my van is missing the option for “digit. speed” entirely… any clues? Its an ex-RAC 2018, so startline but with all of the usual RAC upgrades including MF steering...

My 2018 DSG has just hit 140K. It's an ex rac with full history and nothing to say cambelt has been changed, I've not got any issues with it but I've been thinking about getting it done just as a precaution as only just bought it. But now I've seen the official 140K deffo getting it done so...

Hi all, i have an ex-RAC T6 with 20 inch wheels, the passenger side tyre is wearing on the outside edge. I have had alignment checked and tyre pressure are at 42 psi. I've never seen wear like this on any vehicle before, anyone with any idea. Your help is much appreciated.

Mines an ex-RAC and had a limiter on it set to 70MPH. It did feel and sound like it was straining when at that limit. No issues now I had it removed. Not my area of expertise so I asked the guys at Absolut5 to do it. BTW I think I spotted you yesterday near the White Water Rafting centre at...

I had some deletes done and I'm pretty sure any limiter would have been removed too. It's more that it's working hard than limited

Got there in the end. Electrics in the rain... When you have an ex RAC van, it's a restoration project as well as a camper conversion!

Hi, new to the group and have a 2018 ex RAC that I’m trying to sort the wiring like above to put in a swivel double seat! I’m relocating the new leisure battery and was wondering if the 10mm red cable going into the 100 relay is direct to the battery or somewhere else. Thanks

Lots have people have been down the ex-RAC or ex-AA van route. These are generally well maintained, highish mileage and relatively well specced vans. Some go through auctions which could be a route to an affordable base van?

I've just bought an ex rac t6. I've been told the rac t32s have uprated Suspension. Not sure if that's springs and dampers. The ride is awful. Very boaty and the steering seems really light. It's going to be a work van but won't be carrying no more than 100kgs at time. I'd like it a bit lower...

I couldn't tell you, as it came part-converted, unfortunately. The only work they'd done was the bumpers (badly) and towbar removal. I totally agree, re paint. Someone bashed in that small panel below the filler cap and I had to strip it down, hammer it out, fill it and paint it. I paid top...

Ex rac 120,000 miles when the vans been sitting it can take over a minute before you can feel drive engage. Reverse is ok. It is noisy at gearbox ‘faint rattle’ when driving! goes up gears ok but snatches a bit coming down on 5th 3rd . Any thoughts? Oil service has been done
