Hi all, just looking for any advice or tips. I will be adding side windows to my T6 but I also want to change the colour of the van completely. My question is do I add the windows now and paint later, wait until I have the colour changed or just 'prep' the metalwork around where the windows will be? And advice greatly appreciated.
Cheers

Im doing the same thing Id say cut out the windows first and paint the van that way you use less paint and my sprayer said it would work out cheaper for me.
What colour do you have and what are you changing it to?

I would cut the windows out after paint so you don't have to mask around the windows afterwards. To save paint, just don't paint the areas that are going to be cut out.

I’d cut out first - avoids any risks associated with hacking out big bits of metal next to shiney new paint!

I'm going from orange to black

Ohh I like an orange van, with startline bumpers and black wheels would be ideal for me. Alas, I’m working with silver!

Yeah ex RAC.

Yeah ex RAC. I thought about the pure grey but fel the black is smarter imho
Im struggling with the orange but weirdly enough everyone else seems to love it. I don't get it maybe it's just me.
I do worry though that changing the colour might be a mistake as if it's not 100% perfect I'll be well pissed off and Im super critical.
My sprayer is good but i'm a little sceptical plus nit sure pure grey is the way forward might switch to gunmetal grey or Ascot haven't totally made up my mind.
Black is a bold choice any blemishes will stand out like a diamond in a goats arse.

Yeah the orange is just a bit too bright for me too. I thought about the pure grey myself dut still a little too light for me. I'm sure any professional job will have it turn out just fine
