...a reasonable amount of time if the service plan that VW is met.
I have just bought a used 6.1 HL, LWB CXEC from a main dealer but also took out the maximum amount of extendedwarranty and know consumer law so if anything brakes on it I am not paying for it and if your in the UK neither...
Cheers @Whitty - you've just saved me £200 that can be will be spent elsewhere on the Bus :D
My original 3 & extended 2 year warranty ran out 29th Feb.
Happy days
My 2018 kombi had its resistor changed under extendedwarranty march 22. Failed again November 22. I swapped out two more resistors, until March 23. It then went into the dealer and had a new fan motor and resistor pack fitted under extendedwarranty.
So if you change the resistor pack, it could...
It’s the extendedwarranty, first time they flushed it back in 2022 they changed the front pipe to a new design and flushed it on good will, this time yhey said VW wouldn’t do it for nothing but where helping out with a good will contribution. I know many feel dealers have them over but I’ve...
...from the report from VW?
is your van covered under the TPI?
have you mentioned the TPI to the VW garage?
have you got any extra extendedwarranty on the van?
was it using oil, did the oil light come on at any point?
50K is very millage, normaly the engine wear seem to be around the 80K...
I'm similarly still in factory warranty so can't get All In, but also I did get the 2 year service plan while it was on sale which should get me to end of warranty.
Nothing says that have to be exactly every 12 months.
Which reminds me must get it booked in as I'm likewise wary of extended...
Thanks Dell, I read a lot of your threads on here so appreciate the reply. It’s 2016 so doesn’t qualify for the all in warranty package as over 6 years old. We’d do circa 10k a year in it so even if we had 12 months warranty we’d be sitting at 40k on the clock and these issues might not rear...
First oil service for the van today (@ 1 year/ 6600 miles).
Used a local independent and he told me the oil and filter looked like new, but I'm happy to have them changed annually if it'll help with long term reliability.
Whilst the van's under warranty, my plan is to use the main dealer for...
Van is just shy of £50k which on face value seems like a steal given it’s LWB, mileage and camper conversion but obviously an eye watering amount of money to shell out for what could be a ticking time bomb
Suppose the argument would be with that budget, the options are endless really so why not...
...test with computer plugged in ..no faults…only advice was if happens again Don’t let anyone reset faults till they see it ( still has a year to run on extendedwarranty )
18 reg 204 T32 44500 miles….was driving it hard at the time….hope you find the cause..
Please post with any updates
...noticed the roller was sticking, applied a serious amount of spray grease, for it to basically explode with tiny ball bearings going everywhere.
Booked in to VW this Friday, I have extendedwarranty but for a less than 4 year old van I am intrigued to what they will say.
Further update to follow
I've just had mine into VW Liverpool for the first time under the all in warranty. Extended scope service and MOT. Not a single advisory or repair required.
Well happy considering it's just turned 6.
Can't fault the guys at Liverpool.
I think it needs a treat for that. Anyone selling some nice...
Well if that’s the German way that’s the way. It would not be for me as I want full VW support afterwards which you may not get that if they have not done the work. What I always do is take extendedwarranty whilst I own the vehicle
...only 8 months and driven only 2000 miles..also oil sensor went which my guy fixed..got flywheel done on warranty but might consider extendedwarranty
the T5 I had for,10,years had few problems ..seems the quality of the transporters is going downhill with repairs required at 31,000 miles...
