The wait is over...! Google Maps is now supported by CarPlay! After months of tearing my hair out attempting to get a decent Nav head unit. Now i can just use this.. and not rely on Apple Maps to take me to the shops via Scotland. Waze is also due to be released onto CarPlay very soon!

apple are supposedly releasing iOS 12 in September 2018 and this update includes the ability to display Waze and other maps via CarPlay I don’t go much on Vw satnav as used to Waze, lots of people I’ve spoken to are very excited about Waze coming to Vw T6
