hi all, does anyone have all terrain tyres on their van? I love the look but am interested in how loud they are compared to smoother tyres and if there are any other draw backs people have encountered, thanks
I have just had fitted some wolfrace wheels with general grabber tyres along with a few other bits and bobs and my MPG has plummeted!!
I’m a proper fairy foot and was getting 43-47mpg on a run, now I struggle to get past 33-34mpg?
Can this be purely down to the tyres/wheels?
All,
I keep getting this random warning light nearly once a week...
It's only since I had it remapped by Pendle a few weeks back.....
It's happening more often than before but the strange thing is the range I'm now getting out the van
Once I've filled her up with Shell...
Nearly got caught out whilst towing caravan, MFD showed 5 miles range left ... pump knocked off at 79.87lt and manged a couple more litres when filling. Question is how accurate is the range remaining and any serious consequence or damage from running out apart from inconvenience! If it makes a...
Have solved the mystery of the actual size of my fuel tank by running it down to zero on the computer and then filling to the brim with 78.26 ltrs , as I believe some people have discovered in the past you can run down to below zero, this suggests a one and three quarter litres reserve in an 80...
Hello folks
Now,I am not the brightest but....when my van is showing nearly empty & I have 20/30 miles range left, why does it only take 50 ltrs or so to fill the 70 ltrs tank. I assume that the gauge is reading wrong or have I somehow got one with a smaller tank. The mpg is around 29 on average...
morning guys, a bit of geeky question! Since having my van serviced the current consumption has gone all over place saying 15mpg-200mpg in seconds when even going at the same revs. It didn’t do this before and the main reason i liked it as it would be some indication of when a regen is in...
MPG + Fuel Economy - What Mine Does -
MPG and fuel economy is a constant hot topic with today's fuel prices.
its important to remember that a lot of factors effect the MPG.
Extra Weight, Extra Load, wind resistance from roof boxes and bars can all effect the outcome.
Driving style and...
Apparently If you buy a new VW T6 from a dealer and there is a problem the customer is not happy with but the dealership says the are 'no problems' shown when ran through the diagnostics VW don't want to know.. Anyone else having this problem?
Odd question but, if I leave the webasto heater running all night, does that affect the average mpg on the MFD?
Presumably the fuel used by the heater would be considered fuel used by the engine, as far as the MFD is concerned. Assuming it calculates mpg on fuel used/remaining in the tank that...
I'm thinking of raising the van a little and fitting a more aggressive tyre, I'm sick of getting beached and stuck in muddy fields.
Has anyone fitted anything like a BF Goodrich All Terrain or General Grabber AT2?
What has it done to your fuel economy, ride comfort/noise etc?
80% of the time...
So, lots of folk aren't happy about their mpg in the larger output engines, but what about the the 102 and 84ps? There're keeping quiet don't you think? Are they similarly annoyed, or do they hide a secret? Are they getting amazing mpg, and does anyone remember the Bluemotion 114ps T5.1 that was...
Well after an epic trip I finally managed to get over 600 miles to a tank. It took 64 litres to fill it back up.
Was well and truly ready for my bed once I got home.
Saw this on the way home.
As there seems to be alot of posts about poor MPG I thought Id give a little update.
When I forst got the van I was averaging 35 mpg on my daily commute which is a 60 mile of which around 40 miles on motorway. I felt like I was visiting the petrol station far to often.
After 3500 miles it...
I thought I'd start a post about how much the MPG seems to vary...
I've had my van, a 150 dsg kombi highline, for 2 months now and have covered 3250 miles in it. My trip to work is roughly a 75 mile round trip and consists motorway (75%), single/dual carriageway (20%) and town (5%) by distance...
Hi there - some advice please - I have the baby engined T6 bluemotion - and I've just fitted a gorgeous set of carbon dipped Range Rover 20's to it with 275/40/20 tyres - first run into work today and my mpg at 70 has dived from near 50 to low 30's - now obviously the only change is the rims etc...
