102 v 150 T6

I'm currently absorbing info regarding a T6 campervan and I have another question I'm afraid.
I currently own a 2011 T5 102 van and there is a fair price difference between the 102 and the 150 T6.
I have no issue with my van power wise but how does a 102 cope with a full camper conversion? I will have to test both engines at some point.
There is also a greater selection of the 102's for sale. I apologize for keep asking silly questions. Cheers

If you are happy with your current van's power, especially when fully loaded, then I expect you would also be happy with a 102 T6, i.e. a typical full camper conversion will effectively be the same as running your van fully loaded at all times. A bigger consideration for me would be which weight category to go for.

I've got a 102 LWB, currently uncomverted and driven an 140 swb unconverted and i have to say other than the 140 picking up marginally quicker the 102 is a capable machine and i've loaded it up for a weekend away and tbh it bearly even thought about braking a sweat

Mine's a 102 camper conversion, it's fine as is, getting very good mpg on a run e.g Anglesey to Truro returned 47mpg if I remember at 65 ish mph.

Possibly it could do with a little more power when going up steep hills, doesn't slow down but wouldn't accelerate in 5th when fully loaded.

I've read a bit about the 150s getting random engine management warnings after 10k but it doesn't seem to affect the 102 (might be wrong though). For that reason alone I'm wary of getting mine remapped, if I did it would be done at Pendle and after I'd heard a little more feedback of the euro6 reamap on the 102

Is the 102 still 5 speed ?
My 204 dsg is getting 38-39mpg on a motorway sitting at 75-80 in 7th gear
I think a 102 will be less wanted when coming to sell a few years down the line

I've got a 102 euro 5 and its 5 speed. I can average low 40's n long journeys. I've had a full van a few times and there is plenty of power for me.
