160w solar panel showing 40w

Because it's February, and the sun is low in the sky, and it's probably not that sunny...
Solar panels only ever show the full wattage in direct sunlight at 90 degrees to the panel. I've got a 300w panel and haven't seen much over 60w for months!

The solar panel can only generate power if it's got somewhere to go.... Try running the battery half way down and then give it another go.
FYI when you're charged controller shows it's in bulk mode that is normally an indication that is trying to deliver maximum power.
As your charger is showing it's in absorption mode then it's limiting the power going to the battery anyway, as it's almost full.

Ahh yes, battery probably nearly full too, well spotted - I missed the 'absorption' status and LB voltage!
Yes, low February sun. My Jackery folding panel has managed a max of 38w over the 2 sunny days.
Thank you, to be honest the battery is pretty much full. Me being a spanner I just assumed it would be closer to 160w aslong as the sun was out. Doh
