I like that a lot. Any side on shots?
Not yet, got it finished just in time for the wife to disappear in it for the weekend as Daughter is training at Hayling Island this weekend.
Just hoping it comes back without any kerb rash!!!!!

Have you fitted spacers?
Yep, got 15mm on the rear. As the sportlines are ET43 and these are ET50 it makes the fronts sit nice without any spacers involved.

did cause a small bit of damage to the sportline though in getting it off. Clipped it a couple of times when drill bits snapped.

Apologies for digging up an old thread but where did you buy your wheels? Love them but I cant find them anywhere with fitment for the t6. Are these the polished satin black or platinum?

Hi,

I got my wheels from newwave custom conversions when my van was in there for some work. I believe they order them from rim style who are the uk importer. BBS XA (Matt Platinum) Alloy Wheels - Rimstyle/alloywheels/wheel/index.html?wheel=bbs_xa_gmm&r=1

these are the wheels I got in the mat platinum but showing that they are out of stock

afternoon everyone,i am using my time to look into the best options for me when I collect my new van.I started out by wanting 18 inch alloys on but have seen a few nice 19 s recently. Can anyone tell me roughly how the ride will be differ between the two.The van will be getting dropped by 40mm and will be driven daily as I am doing away with my car so the ride needs to be comfortable. Many thanks for your input

The biggest ride improvement in my opinion will be driven by a suspension upgrade,

Less sidewall rubber on the tyres usually creates a more sporty, bump feeling ride... rather than a bit more comfort where the tyre can absorb some of the divots in the road.

19's with a 40mm drop and adaptive shocks is the way i'm going to try and achieve a happy compromise between comfort and bigger wheels / lowered van,

It's usually a trade off... and ride quality is a very subjective topic... so this is just my take on it. I can't compare 18's to 19's as i haven't run both.

Whilst this doesn't really answer your question fully, I've just changed from 17" to 19" wheels. My van isn't lowered, other than the factory 20mm drop from the factory that Velle Execs have. The difference in ride is barely detectable on all but the roughest of roads. The 19" wheels still have a reasonable amount of cushioning from their 45 profile tyres. I'd say there would be little difference between 18" or 19" on comparable suspension set ups.

thanks mate,it does help me in the fact that it doesn't really make that much difference in the ride with the increase, did you notice a drop in the fuel consumption once you went from the 17s to the 19s mate

I would also agree with this.

I went from 205/65r16's pumped up to 55psi, to 245/45r19's and didn't notice any difference.

I did have Koni Active dampers fitted all round, and that alone made the biggest difference in comfort.

I can't answer that as I have only done a few hundred miles with them on. In my case it will probably make a difference as I have Amarok wheels, which are pretty heavy compared to some.
