2016 T6 102, Stolen / Recovered. Charging Fault [Resolved]

Ok, I can see fuse 8 is supposed to be for glow plug control unit, and having downloaded the glow plug removal document it would appear that it should be located in the electronics box under the battery, but I cannot find any further details than that, or a picture of what it looks like etc.

As I mentioned before, there appears to be no loose wires to be seen in the fuse box.

Are the wiring diagrams in the download section covering all models T6 vans?

I have identified the glow plug control unit, it is essentially a relay which is in location 1 next to the mega fuses. I have removed it and all the cables look correct and as they should do. Yet I do not have a cable running to fuse 8 in my van. Is it possible the diagrams in the download section are for another model van?

The diagrams cover a variety of models so yes its possible its fed from another fuse
I would get that first fuse replaced and fault codes reset then go again

re glow plugs . . .

the scematic shows the 4x glow plugs connected to the controller - J179

which may look like this . .

1598291893968.png

its main power feed is (according to this wire diagrem,). . .

is SA6 - 100A

The J179 glow plug controller has.

4x outputs to glow plugs,
glow plugs are grounded via block,
one main power feed via SA6 100A fuse,
2x data line to ECM(engine control module)
main ground via ECM

it also looks like it has a secondary power feed via SB33 (5A)

SO CHECK THE SB33 FUSE TOO . . . .

I've boxed everything back together and replaced the 225A fuse. The battery is now charging (14.4V) So sucess there, however I still have no idea why the fuse would blow in the first place? Could it be because the battery that was in there was completely dead ... measuring 0.0 on multi meter, and perhaps the jump start caused it to surge?

I have re scanned and every fault has disappeared apart from the TPMS, The reset button in the glove box appears to be jammed solid so I cannot press it.

However, I now have another problem! The 1 key I have that was working perfectly will now not work remotely! Its starts the van etc but the buttons wont unlock the doors since I took out the battery.

Does anyone happen to know how to recode this in ross-tech software?
Thanks!

Main fuse blowing is normally battery connected wrong way.

Or

Jump start wrong way with no battery..

Alternator is poss max 180A so shouldn't blow with a flat battery.... plus internal resistance in battery won't allow 200A.

Hopefully the problem is solved then. Thank you for your help.
No ideas about the remote key do you? Can't lock the van without remote as the drivers lock is damaged! (new one on order from Germany)

so the key remote buttons were working?

but now are not?

id try a full reset first.

You can verify if your remote is working by reading BCM measurement block 15-1.
Values:
Not oper = no key pressed
Lock = Lock pressed
Unlock = Unlock pressed
HDF = Rear lid button pressed

Is that all faults clear now ?
All of them apart from the TPMS fault. The switch inside the glove box appears to be jammed down so I cannot reset it. Might have to order a new switch.

I think its crazy that the 225A alternator fuse could throw up so many other faults, including the Glow plugs etc!?

There's a switch in the glove box?? Never seen this before, I reset tpms via the MFD.
