30mm Spacers All Round On Standard Suspension

Ah. Your like me @chriscroft. We think too much.o_O

Anyway, in the name of research have a look at this video when your lying up at night. If your Mrs is also still awake beside you in the Croft boudoir, she won't be for long when this goes on.

Some of his stuff on his channel is really interesting. Explains some pro's and con's of spacers in this clip though.

WOT HE SAID!!!!:confused::eek::sleep::whistle:
What would we do with out YouTube love it.
I've seen his Scrub Radius video before, it's genuinely interesting (to me anyway).

I once made the Mrs watch a similar video by another American spotty smart arse youth, on the thermodynamic efficiency of Black v Silver intercoolers; she's only just forgiven me.

Got some 25mm H&R spacers. Are these definitely used with factory bolts. Keeping the devonports. Thanks

NO, DO NOT USE THE STANDARD BOLTS
You should have got some slightly shorter bolts with the Kit; along with some counter sunk headed bolts also.
You use the counter-sunk bolts to bolt the 25mm spacer to the hub;
Then use the supplied shorter bolts to bolt the wheels to the spacer.
If you are using your old security bolts, you will have to cut them down, so that they are defiantly no longer than the supplier shorter bolts.
You need to be very carefully discard the original oem bolts, so they cannot become mixed up.
If you get this wrong the wheel will not tighten on correctly; and you risk it wobbling and coming adrift at speed; endangering, well basically every unlucky sod in a 800 yards radius:confused::eek:o_O

Na, I don't think I've seen a three wheeler VW T.; and there maybe a good reason for this.

Very Very Wrong,
You could use the oem bolts; but you would need to cut them down.

Is this just a wrongly worded advert; or are they actually supplying the kit like this, with just the counter-sunk headed bolts?

Mine are in the post. I hope they are supplying shorter bolts.

Actually the above mentions using the oem bolts also?????????????
H&R Trak+ Wheel Spacers (Silver)
VW Transporter T5
25mm per side

High end sports car manufacturers use every millimetre of space available in their wheel arches for the best looks and the highest performance - and now so can you! With H&R TRAK+ Wheel Spacers you can fill the gap in your wheel arches and GO WIDE!
H&R TRAK+ Wheel Spacers feature a 'Perfect Fit' hubcentric design that makes the spacer function as a precise extension of the hub, thereby guaranteeing precision wheel fitment.
H&R TRAK+ Wheel Spacers are constructed from a proprietary aluminum / magnesium alloy created specifically for the H&R wheel spacer program, making them extraordinarily strong and lightweight. Additionally, TRAK+ feature a hard anodized coating for surface durability.

These H&R Spacers are classed as System Type "DRA". This means that you will receive a pair of spacers & a set of fastening bolts. The spacers should be fitted to the wheel hub using the fastening bolts provided and the wheels should then be fitted to the spacers using the existing wheel bolts. No other fixing accessories are required.

Features
Total Track Widening = 50mm
Fit 5 Stud Vehicles
Fit Vehicles with a Stud Pattern = 120/5
Centre Bore Size = 65mm
Designed for Vehicles that use Wheel Bolts
Thread Type = M14 x 1.5
Minimum Wheel Offset = -5
Spacer System = DRA (see text above for details)

EXTRA INFO - - . The original wheel screw which sticks out of the inner side of the wheel needs to have a permanent thread and its length has tobesmaller than the thickness of the spacer.

I give up!!!!!!!, they used to come with two sets of bolts; now it seems you just get a 2 liner - (see directly above); which is not that helpfull??????

Looks like a "cut down":job

I seem to remember when I got my 25mm and 35mm H&R spacers that 25mm plus used existing bolts. I'll check mine tomorrow as they are currently off the van.

My 25mm HR spacers defiantly came with shorter bolts, as I've still got all the oem bolts in the original spacer box, along with the oem security bolts that I couldn't be bothered to cut down, so didn't use......mmm

My memory is rubbish!

Here's a photo of my kit.

The 35mm spacers on the left use OEM bolts and, you're right about the 25mm, @chriscroft. Two sets of bolts, both h&r. I only bought them about a year ago.

Yes, there is only about 3mm-4mm difference in length between the OEM and HR(25mm spacer) bolts; but as I recall, if you use the longer bolts they hit the hub, before they are actually tight; so the bolt is tight, but the wheel isn't.
Not a problem with the 35mm spacer

My 25mm H&R's are due imminently, I'll confirm if they still come with two sets of bolts when they arrive... (I am expecting them to have the extra bolts!)
