What's included?
I’m assuming T32 brake lines would be, the kits coming off of new vans that they’ve upgraded with, but don’t have a full list of what is and what isn’t.

I started looking as
1) my heavy-arse camper didn’t feel like it wanted to stop as quickly (behind the braking car in front) as I’d have liked it to, recently
and
2) my brakes will look silly once I fit some alloys.

Anyone noticed how motorhomes always have tiny wheels and brakes? Surely they need a load of stopping power with all that weight?!
For most Fiat Ducato / Pug Boxer based chassis (probably 80% of the market)
I think one reason is that many need 116 load rated tyres which given that they use a standard van gear box, the tyre ratios fix it at 16" wheels max
The bigger fiats have 225/75/16 tyres which are a lot bigger than any regular T6; or most SUV's come to that
They use standard van running gear; to keep the costs down
The smaller MH's do have smaller wheels 15"
I think the rear wheels often look smaller, because of how the fiberglass is over trimmed
The energy of a moving vehicle- so difficulty to stop; is proportional to its mass; but the is a squared relationship to velocity; i.e double the velocity=quadruple the energy and brake requirements.
So top speed is more important than mass re brakes
Brake fade is often related to heat build up; which is often related to repetitive accelerating and braking; Motorhome drivers are the most sedate drivers in the world. I think my only claim to fame is whilst driving ours at 70-72mph, I've never been overtaken by another motorhome
Anything above 75-80mph in a decent size motorhome is bloody terrifying;);););)
Just my thoughts:)

Hi guys I’m hoping you may be able to clear this up for me , upon ordering my t32 lwb highline panel van my thought was the t32 came with the big calipers ( 4 /6 pots ) which is the main reason for ordering a t32 , so when the van arrived at Vw I sent a friend who has a paint shop to collect my van on trade plates so he could color code all the calipers and rear spoiler and then return it to the dealer before I picked it up , so you can imagine I was a little pi**ed off when I collected my van and realised the calipers were standard sliding calipers ie not big tasty 4/6 pots like I was expecting !so now I have payed extra for the t32 and payed out £350 for my calipers and spoiler painting and I’m just not happy with them at all !!!!!
I realise It is completely my fault for presuming, but I really want the big calipers , is it just the combi that comes with these or are they an optional extra ? And if so what would be the cost
Tia

yep, common misconception that the t32 gets them as standard. its actually the high power engine that gets them as stock.

Thank you , I've had a look on their website but it doesn’t mention retrofitting the said brakes , they only seem to be advertising the forge kits at silly money ! Is it something I need to ring them about ?

Yes, or message them.

What year is your combi ? I wonder if this makes a difference or whether all t32 combis come with them ?there just doesn’t seem to be a pattern

Early 2018, from those I've seen some have some don't. Mine was pre reg so I didn't spec it.

I’m still on 16” Claytons so don’t think I’ll be making the purchase any time soon, so let me know if you do venture down that route.
I’ve been on the the chap at Vw this morning to express my concerns regarding the brakes and he also thought that my van would have come with the big brakes , he’s going to get back to me but I’m not holding much hope of replacing them free of charge !
But you don’t get if you don’t ask

No oem calipers on the T6 are 4/6 pots, for that you'll have to go aftermarket.

The bigger front brakes you mention are a twin piston slider caliper used with a larger 340mm disc.
